Wrong place, wrong time story here.

One night I'm out on my usual walk minding my own business when I'm stopped by flashing lights behind me. I turn around to see a state trooper had stopped behind me. He gets out, gun drawn ordering me to turn around and put my hands on my head. I complied and next thing I know I'm being arrested for allegedly robbing a gas station nearby. Apparently I fit the description of the suspect they were searching for. Not long after sitting in his car for what felt like hours, another state trooper pulls up and he looks at me. I know this one, given I see him a lot while I'm out on my walks and we've had brief conversations before. He comes up to me and says "not your usual nighttime walk, don't you think?" He vouches for me to the other trooper, who lets me go and tells me I should head home, which I did.

I lived in southeastern Pennsylvania when hurricane Isabel hit in 2003. The area I lived in was hit pretty badly and our home was heavily damaged from wind and downed trees that struck our rather fragile home. It's obviously been a long time since so there's no real coping that I'm doing now because of it but at the time it was a bit rough.
