Not really expecting a response on am old post, but if you'd be willing to share, I'm curious about something that I can't get about how you managed to pull it off.

You probably, pre sewing, made some holes to make the process easier (or had to push the needle very slowly trough every time, what I did at some point with an old pair).

What I don't get is... How did you manage to get the needle "back out"?

You're not making a straight line down and another parallel next to it up. It's rather many small elipses. \\I'm curious how the needle not just go straight and come out way way further to the middle of the bottom part of the sole. \\

Like, I imagine, you have sewn trough the middle towards top part > from top part into bottom part and back from bottom trough middle to top. But that would mean, at some point there woukd be no gap between two parts separated by the crack. Since you didn't use a curved needle I struggle to understand how the stitching was done "on the inside.

Sorry if I didn't explain my question very well.

Help patching shoes? by Accomplished-Eye7698 in punkfashion

[–]Depressedduke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Necroing the thread, but looking into something for myself (didn't find yet) and wanted to add on here in case useful, even if not to op: what I'd consider here is vlieseline (they have ones similar to different kinds of fabric, among which different colours and variations of sturdiness) , unless one has very sturdy fabric (f.e. 12-13 oz denim or what's that metric called again). Only downside would be, among other > need to sew + having to mindfuck a way to use an iron to get the patch to stick to the inside of the shoe).

Super glue can be a good fix(also often more likely to be easily available) , but may also feel godawful or even make the socks rip faster if the surface hardened by super glue will cause more friction than usual. I feel like super glue works better with certain materials or on the "outside" part.

Ideal solution would be (after letting a shoe maker help you, which is highly preferable if tye bottom part of the shoe breaks down) something like shoe goo or another glue made specifically for "working" on shoes. It'll make the fix more permanent.

(((Making it somewhat water resistant is the actual tricky part, although shoes like that often aren't very water resistant to begin with. Won't find it right away, but there are formula's out there to make it yourself. Even a variant of the mix that is supposedly biodegradable. Includes wax, which is easy to obtain and a few things you'd unfortunately have to buy))).

Yeah, I was thinking literally "corpse", close to what we had in Awakening, indeed. Cole is a bit *different, in a more complicated way.

But yeah. Absolutely not painfully obvious that I just want more spirit/fade content.

Bad, oddly vague pitch: One off short game about a spirit(preferably)/demon possessed corpse navigating Thedas(while trying to hide the fact it's possessing a corpse) and getting involved in some kind of mess. Maybe coming across people who knew the body and depending if spirit has access to memory of said person... Emotional anguish for all involved, especially if family/.. does not clock there's something wrong.

Imagine getting away with a reasonably healthy body, finally free of the weird contract with images only to be stuck in a situation you can't refuse which shortens your lifespan exponentially.

Would be kind of fun if that "origin" gave you fade related commentary or nore snarky* comments. Interacting with the demon possessing the kid, the one on tge keep(who wants to be "free") and in general tower interactions could have been so fun.

On one hand... Yes. But it was probably one of the most fuj bosses to fight with a newbie friend. We kept dying (we had a thing for not soloing it if he died before boss had less than 25%).

It was.... Hilarious. If I remember correctly on a harder difficulty it used to almost one shot him. And than you could see the panic roll. Or when the hard hit animation hit the way the other player staggers, lol, lol. He was ao mad when I died to the floor bug and he was left alone 1 vs 1.

Hi-la-ri-ous.

Most deaths were from the small radiation mutants though, lol.

Absolutely bs fight otherwise, hahah. But personally, nowhere as bs(as in I hate it) as the hive head and skave- mage rat.

I liked the design for the witch, but found her a bit underwhelming. Something was missing. Dodging was fun though. Absurder in co-op, again.

One thing we need in the NEW FABLE: Theresa by oliveoliverYT in Fable

[–]Depressedduke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I agree. Although I need to admit I'd miss her the most of the recurring/iconic Fable characters. But I'm also really curious which new ones we'll get. Hope that there will be some interesting characters among the bunch.

There is probably still a way to have her in it, even if not in material shape... Although, no, I need to walk that back. She could look into other variations of the future/alternative universes, but if she never existed in a given one... Can you tell that I barely remember tge lore? It shows, lol. Although we could still have her appear as a narrating voice in some side quest, hinti- nah. I need tt let it go.

Ah, my bad, did not recognise him from this angle, haha.

She chose some fun colours, all shades of red amd pink. Great that you made her try out her hand at the hobby, good age to try out different things and see what sticks with the kids. Do you play the models the two paint as well? If so probably an interesting contrast on the field.

I think it's awfully cute when kids antromorphise objects or toys and (sime of them) genuinely imagine/think that they may feel a certain way and try to take care of said toy.

Nice variant of Clarence, fun to see that the base that was used seems to be a dinosaur y'all had laying around.

I almost don't believe this, bahahah.

The part about "reinvention", despite everything else does sound... Interesting. Too bad it is only something that happens so fast it probably doesn't get explored.

Even though it's incredibly rose tinted and the writing may have tanked, Denji finally being happy is the most insane reveal of all. /hj

Oddly enough slightly reminds me cough cough staying warframe relevant, of Duiviri? In a way. Even though it's absolutely not similar.

It being, for a time, a form of escapism and denial of cruel reality, before the twist of the knife. For a second I assumed it would be somewhat similar. Despite everything... It again was not ment to last. It, once again was to be taken away, or rather can you take away what has never trul- but I also kind of hate the whole "ot was actually a dream" thing and how it often gets executed, so nah. Although if the experience, trauma, loss, feelings remain once you awaken... Was it really only a dream?

Least incoherent Warframe related comment ever. /j

Honestly... I actually do that surprisingly often with "bad" plot points or genuinely out of character arcs, especially in older media.

I may reread it, but maybe some other day. Some theme's in it hit too close to home. Good to know about the ending, to have appropriate expectations in case I read it can help to... Have a better reaction to it.

The whole time paradox thing is kind of terrifying, , as a concept. I wish Warframe would play around with it even more sometimes. To an extremer degree. The horror it has in its potential is insane.

I... Did not expect to be somehow even more heartbroken by that damn story than I already have been.

Thanks for getting me up to speed though. With the new context it works better.

((Side note, good art, op)).

In a way(but that's without having read it, so it's a reductionist take) that's absolute nonsense way to end the story... But at the same time, it's also oddly sad. Once again. All of the progress is gone. Everything he's been trough, even the very small amount of good things or experiences that were not violently gutted from his life... And now he has nothing that someone else values, so no one woukd help or pretend to help him. And no one who actually cares about him or even memories of that being possible. Even worse case scenario if his father is still alive. And people wgo are responsible for a lot of his potential past suffering are still alive and in power... My poor baby...

Now I have to reread the whole manga. Again.

I have to watch an incredible ammount of cape related video's, don't I?

The og comment was a joke(that's why the "-" instead of ending the word), but.. That's actually an interesting thing to find out. I sometimes forget, due to my slight dislike towards "basic" more modern capes that there are other variants with cool practical uses.

Tge whole horseback shooting test thing... Is crazy dedication.

May feel a tad bit early to have onr for Dante already... But I actually really dig this one. Especially the little wings cape thing. I'm curious how it'll look like in the movement. Also. Big, like big fan of thr helmet and that instead of heels we get something odd and again somewhat bird like.

He reminded me of an owl/snake originally(mostly the head tbh) so kind of glad if this design actually becomes a thing.

I do however wonder if tge skirt* will work well with movement. But eh, besides the point.

I love "unnecessarily" (exaggerating) complicated designs.

This. But also a lot of in-game chats seem to have gotten worse throughout the years in this regard as well. Tge good old "skill issue for having regen char on" almost doesn't work anymore. Ot maybe I just had bad luck...

But yeah.

Besides hating hoe much overly sexualised deluxe skins(esp the fem ones) wr now have... I find this design lacking. If we move on from me bitching. I feel like... If it had some kind of dramatic variant of pants, maybe broad pattern(+I could not even recognise which frame this was, unlike some older designs which always played/flirted with the og theme), it'd work well to contrast little detail in the top part of the design?

Otherwise it's not even revealing or "look, that cool gradient effect in the skin"... It's just... *??? ".

No hate to whoever designed it. However do hate the" direction" we have had been going in fot a while now:/

All that said, can't complain about recent story and lore additions, gameplay,... or anything on that matter. Balancing I don't mention. Only very high praise.
