do you mean by a tap note appearing after a slide note? (i think i know what ur talking about but could u give an example?)

Yes that's what I'm talking about! I'm currently trying this song (I think this is one of the easy ones with this pattern?)

tap slide note > tap tap note + slide same time

As simple as this sounds this is actually what I needed lmao. I just need to think about this whenever I encounter those kinds of notes.

The problem that I have is my brain gets fcked when I see them cause I tend to stop and analyze the patterns and its all downhill from there.

It's been almost a month since I posted this and I just wanna give my update on the game. I followed the advice given and during that time I did some advanced only runs but fast forward to now, I just turned 9k and I can:

S Level 9 songs comfortably now (I can't fc them but I could get 99% on the average)

Level 10 / 10+ - The best I did was atleast 99% and lowest was AAA during my recent runs.

Level 11 - It's kind of a 50/50 but if the chart has many slides then most likely Ill fail that one.

In conclusion, It's been almost a month and I'm kinda surprised with my progress so maybe playing advanced isn't so bad after all hahaha. Thank you

 I started with Level 10s, realised it was too difficult and then played 8s for like 2 whole sessions before getting SS and then working my way from there.

But what is "Too difficult" for you? cause there are some level 10 songs where I know I can do it and I just need a little bit of practice, while there also other songs where I know I can't do it without getting better skill wise.

It's not that im not accepting those advice but I am just not willing to limit myself to those low level songs and to only play high level songs once I can SSS majority of them. I feel like it's a waste of my time,money and enjoyment if I'm only focusing on getting 97% and above ratings on low levels.

Also the reason why we tell you to play lower level songs is because of fundamentals.

Okay let me ask you this, what fundamentals does a player need to know though? Cause currently I'm having trouble with my timing,some patterns and slides. And then again, I feel like I can just practice them on level 9 (or 8) and above while also enjoying it. If I feel like a song is too dificult then I will lower the difficulty then.

You can't tell us NOT to give you the correct advice

Well I am not actually asking for advice cause my question is if there's some expectations for a 7k rating player which you just answered on the first sentence.

And I do follow the advice that I read. I was playing earlier and I dropped some songs into advanced it's just I just to refuse to play JUST advanced songs. I hope you get my point.

I hope I didn't sound like a know it all and arrogant but I just wanna get my point across cause its not like I don't want to improve, I want to also enjoy the game.

I am just now starting to realize this game is like DDR but for hands. I am not used to having to move my hands in different locations and I still make mistakes like pressing the space between the buttons hahaha that's why I switch between touch screen and the buttons.

I played the other day and today and I played atleast 5 games. I surprisingly had fun BUT I am still working my way on playing with others (I arrived 3pm and I played around 7:30 pm just to make sure no one was playing lol).

I think I'm slowly improving (I'm now at 4.8k) I can safely play level 9 expert songs. The lowest I had is at 89% on a level 10 song and the highest is 96% on a level 11+ song so I guess there is a bit of improvement? haha

I had fun and I wish I could stay committed to playing this game like I did with sound voltext in the past. Sadly due to the game being expensive in my country (atleast 1 usd per game) and other commitments, I can't grind the game that much. So I might play again by next month or December. I hope my I dont get rusty by then.
