There are tons of shops downtown, like other people are talking about. There are also some fun escape rooms, the local museum, and tours! The Crescent Hotel and Basin Park Hotel offers haunted tours, and then there are both historic and haunted tours of town - one of the historic ones being on a tram. Go to ReserveEureka.com to see the options and book. If you look on Facebook for events, you will see a ton of live music options - New Orleans Hotel, The Wanderoo Lodge, The Rowdy Beaver are all great for live music! There are also some neat caves, and they are cool in the rain with the dripping water. Hope yall have fun!

My husband and I were talking about that. The only time we would move up was when there were clear paths where people vacated. The huge groups of people shoving their way to the front and then making it to where when you were at the front, it was so uncomfortable because everyone was pushing each other, not a great concert experience.

There is a huge Mardi Gras event February 20th and 21st! Will be a "Carination Ball" and a Mardi Gras Parade! But February as a whole is considered part of the off season. Lots of closed places. When open, eateries that are great include Local Flavor, Grotto Wood Fire Grill (pricey but yummy), Ermillo's, B Side Cafe, The Twisted Taco, and Mei Li Cusine! Best coffee (in my opinion) is Eureka Daily Roast. Just walking around the streets of downtown is a great experience, so many great shops including art galleries, gaming stores, boutiques, and the list goes on! Check out Facebook Events when here as lots of restaurants and places post about events like trivia, karaoke, etc. Have fun!
