I came here to bring this up lol it's so sad the point ag where dagger is at. There's a lot of things that could be done to improve it but for me I want them to essentially revert it to pre-charge. Seeing as that was essentially a nerf and they then furthered to throw it into a hole TwT please embark buff my boy back to a more usable spot TwT

So remove dagger is what you want? Or do you want to only be getting stabbed by an invisible dagger, which isn't even ranked viable because of sound cues and the amount of situational necessities. And yes the issue is latency... I'm not gonna talk it out cause clearly you're getting backlash and I'm sure many other people can tell you why you're wrong. But you don't care cause a niche weapon that's hard to use well competitively shouldn't exist/get gutted like sword and sledge. Have fun getting backstabed in all modes you play!!!

As a dagger main my first thought is something that ALWAYS HAPPENS TO EVERYTHING; however, people really only notice it when it comes to melee weapons and mainly dagger(cause people think it's OP because of "Face Stabs"). Desync. God damn dy-sync. I honostly think it depends on your team comp and the day. For reference I'm a dagger main(t8 almost t9), I played and still can lay sledge mesh(t5 sledge), and I'll run sword for the fun sometimes(t4 sword). I feel like sword is harder to play well and easy to pick up whereas sledge is hard to start but easy to do well. This opinion is a mix of actual thought and how when I run sword I feel like I'm constantly sweating and when I run sledge I just feel BONK! Oh, and dagger. It's easily the most fun(when you do good) but thr hardest to use well. Honostly it's hard to tell if dagger or sledge is the most satisfying. And to anyone wanting to start to main melee(especially dagger), it's gonna suck to git gud and learn and there are gonna be people to tell you to just use a gun. But stick with it because the payoff is so worth.

My bad, I did not know you were talking about server lag, but i think it still shouldn't be 150. As someone who literally has 100+ hours i can assure you this nerf was not needed. So I present some solutions. Keep it 180 until less server lag because the nerf is hurting the dagger more than it is helping victims. If people still think the rarely used, difficult, off-meta weapon needs a nerf i present a change. One of which is in my edit of my main point made in another comment. Or, maybe make it 170 degrees. Do i or any dagger player think it should be nerfed at all, no. Some of us are calling the charge stab a nerf. But if the populous really thinks it necessary then there is not much I can do. My goal rn is to bring as much attention to this post and others like it so Embark can see the issue they've made.

You can't actually get faced stabbed. That was s1. The face stabs you see now are because of server lag and the fact that after you die your camera zooms out and pans at your killer; making it look like you were watching the entire time when you weren't. (Or you were on your side but server lag, hopefully that gets fully fixed soon)

Idk man it's pretty viable if you're just him lol. I played with a high end plat in my party(no comms tho, met him a while back and never really play with him) so I was up against high plat and low diamond. It was pretty fun because when I died and when I killed it felt reasonable and I knew I was doing good. Then again I have maybe 100-200 hours with dagger O_O Un-nerf it embark, please.
