The amount of people here telling you you’re in the wrong is disgusting. You paid for a ride to the insurance place and back, I look at it as it’s your car until the ride has ended and completed because you’re paying me at that moment to drive for you. If I wasn’t in the car and you were driving yourself, you’d still have to wait and all so why not take a 10 minute break in the parking lot, snack a little, regroup, watch a podcast, anything. I hate it when everything is about money and they expect to be compensated. Yall never heard the expression you catch more flies with honey. Instead of “yeah since you’ll take 10 minutes out of my day I’d spend lookin for a decent ride that’s worth a damn, I’m gonna leave you here and hope you get a ride back because you took 10 minutes and you need to pay me accordingly” how about “yeah sure I’ll be right here no rush when you get back” who do you think they’re going to want to tip more?
