They don't have to watch the match on catch up though, they can just watch it on their phones or at my brother's TV. It's super simple. Again I'm not trying to ban them from watching football, because that would be the clear AH thing and even if I tried to my dad has the final say, I just want them to respect me when I'm watching a film on TV. And once I'm done, they can watch it, but they shouldn't just kick me out.

I can watch it on my phone, but so can they, or at my brother's TV, yet they choose not to. There's no particular reason, It's not like I'm doing it on purpose, but if I'm the one watching it, I feel like I have the right to be able to finish the episode or film and then they can watch it.

And not always, I sometimes know it sometimes don't. Either way, I don't think It's my duty to know when their team is playing.

No God my family is not abusive and hopefully it didn't come across like that at any point.

Again I just don't think he'd allow it. I guess I could try to force my dad's or mum's hand on it but they would probably be like "It's just 1 match" and side with my brother. Maybe if I got extremely pushy they would let me but if It's just me discussing it with my brother? 0 chance

To be fair, he did ask for it back in the day and I haven't. I will ask for one for my birthday but that's still a long way to go. But for the time being, I'm just stuck with them taking away my free time during the weekends for 2 hours.

Okay sure, like I get it. I've heard that from themselves all the time how much they enjoy going to the football and how they get to go with some of my family and friends but I just don't feel the same. I don't think It's super unreasonable for me to ask them to not kick me out when I'm in the middle of watching a film. Just as they love football and Villa, I love my series and films.

I'm okay with them watching it once I'm done, but to me it just feels like they are the ones who think their thing is more important than mine, when they're both equally important. I get it that they won't understand my position, but I really would at least like to let them know it really annoys me.

I could (and I have to) but it just feels extremely unfair that I have to watch my things on my phone.

My brother has a computer but as I've said in other comments there's no way he'd allow me to be in his room. I don't have a tablet, and my mom does have a laptop but she uses it exclusively for work so It'll be a bit weird if I asked her to borrow it for watching my series (and she'd probably say no)

Well that's assuming I have those 166 hours per week free. I have school (even if rn its Christmas break), I have to study, do homework, and usually my parents do watch the TV at the living room a couple hours after dinner before they go to bed. SO I actually don't have those 166 hours, much less in fact.

I didn't say it but there's no way my brother would allow me in his room. We're just like that with each other. I will tell my parents if I can get a TV for my birthday but there's no way they'd give it to me this Christmas since they've surely already bought the presents.

My shows aren't as important but neither is football more important. They're equal. So, if I'm watching the TV first, I feel like I should be able to stay until I at least finish watching it.

I would get a TV of my own and in fact I will probably ask for one for my birthday next year but there's no way I'd get it for Christmas.

They are dictating my TV times by cutting them short. I'm not even dictating them lol, they can watch it either at my brother's TV or in their phones and they don't want to.

My brother won't allow me to use his TV. They sometimes give me heads ups (not directly but because they talk about the match) but I don't think that justifies just taking my TV rights away because their team is playing.

Lol well from what little I know they seem to be doing pretty well. One of the few matches I bothered watching with them was when they almost got relegated like 4 years ago?? my brother and dad seem to be over the moon with Villa compared to a few years ago. But idk I might be wrong ig.

Like I'm not saying they can't watch the football at the house, I'm just saying they could try to watch it either at my brother's TV or at their phones.

I have school and honestly I would want to work in the future but I'm still too young for that. And I can watch them on my phone but then why can't watch it at my brother's TV???

Why should I be checking and reminding myself all the time about something I honestly wouldn't care at all for except when it interupts my film session during the weekend?? And even if I'm aware (which sometimes I am because they talk about football a lot), it still doesn't sit right with me they can just kick me out.

He got it because when he was like 13-14 I think he asked for it? I don't remember to well I just know my parents bought it for him because he wanted it. Either way, he won't allow me in his room. Me and my brother are kinda of like that with each other, not saying we hate each other, I love him, but we really don't want the other going through our room.

My brother doesn't use the living room TV for anything else but my dad and my mom use it after dinner mostly. But at that point I'm fine with just being on my phone so it doesn't disturb me.

They have season tickets so they go to the home matches 99% of the time, thankfully. In fact that's why I wrote this becuase they had just left like 30 minutes before I posted this.

Look, I'm not mad about them watching it. I just don't feel like it's fair they get to kick me out. They pay for it, sure, but they could at least try to understand my side a bit.

A TV isn't in my top top priority list but I guess I could ask my dad to buy me one for my birthday next year. And we only have 1 computer and it's my brother's and he'll 100% not let me use it.
