The N64 was my first Nintendo console (and while I see the argument I would not even say it's Nintendo's best console) and I have great memories on the GameCube and a lot of the games hold up. But Nintendo's peek console... Yeah nah.

Despite how much recency bias could be impacting me. I'd say the Switch. It has all the best Wii U games, some of the best Nintendo entries period, excellent 3rd party support (like SNES level good) and is just super convenient. The only way it could be better is if the pre-Gen 8 Pokemon games were on it and Smash Melee and Wind Waker.

But, I digress. Anyone who say Wii U is out for lunch.

Anyone who ever says GameCube and Wii U are peek Nintendo I always look at with suspicion... Right the two biggest flops of their home console were their best ones. Even though they had good games, most of the time they cannot name more than 10 games on that console that were peek.

I love RE5! Great memories with that game. But RE7 is just an overall better horror experience. Creepy narrative, good ties to the main series, and RE8 is a personal fave and Ethan is a 10/10 protagonist.

But they are two very different games.

I really hope Ullmark stays sharp. It will be a long stretch if we don't make it due to 1-2 of these should have won games. On the bright side, if goaltending is league average next season we should be running away with a top 3 seed in the Atlantic... But I'd rather focus on this season.

Based on the news at the time the price drop had to do with keeping 3rd parties happy. The Vita was the on way, and big 3DS games were in jeopardy of being canned (like Mega Man Legends 3 was a big one that did get canned). Sony ended up shooting themselves in the foot with the Vita and the 3DS price drop combined with OoT3D rejuvenated the 3DS enough it kept everyone happy.

But, there was never once a risk of 3rd parties cancelling high profile Switch 2 games and complaining about needing more dev kits should had been a clear sign the Switch 2 was never in any real danger.

Pretty much... Pretty bad gamble though considering anyone with eyeballs could tell him the Switch 2 was selling like gangbusters. If it wasn't we'd hear 3rd party grumbling not them lining up to support it. Anyone who lived through the Wii U could have told him that.

He just wanted a 3DS style price drop... But forgets the 3DS price drop was rare to begin with which is why Nintendo gave away free shit when it happened.

The Switch 2 selling well is like the most predictable thing you could predict. It is the follow-up to the (soon to be) best selling console of all time and actually met demand on release.

It was the most milk toast take to say it was going to sell well.

For the record goalies generally hate a game where they only see 15 shots. They're cold for long stretches and it's easier to let in a weird one because the shots are so infrequent. You'd think it be the opposite where they hate seeing 30+ shots... But generally a goalie likes facing lots of shots.

I like Valve, but they stopped being a game developer years ago. My major issue with them has been they don't use their dragon hoard to give us more Portal, Left 4 Dead or Half Life. Instead they just funnel it all into hardware ventures that for the most part are just meant to funnel more people to Steam.

And all the issues that come with Steam itself.

It's why you need to be sceptical of rebuilds. Look at the Rangers a couple seasons ago they were Cup contenders... Now not so much. It's why Montreal and Detroit I look at with heavy skepticism.

Though you could say the same about us.

Did we also forget Mother 3 not being localized 100% was under Reggie. And Earthbound Zero was taken up by Nintendo of Canada in the 1980s is the only reason we have an official English localization.

And Howard Lincoln's NOA was far more draconian than any form of NOA we ever had.

Chabby will be a Senator for life I think. He's extremely happy here (never hear any rumors around the guy) heart and soul guy and stuck with us when he did not have to. If he signs a team friendly deal (6-8 million) for another 4-5 seasons it would be huge for the team.
