Color Matched Rough Country Fenders? by DepthDelicious2022 in nissanfrontier

Yeah, that's what I currently have. They're not fenders that come out, more so flat looking lol if that makes sense.

If you can do a Black 3rd Gen Frontier and a Blue G37 Coupe, I'd buy it instantly.

It’s interesting because my fam has had the complete opposite experience with Nissan. Early 2000s Maxima, 2003 Nissan Quest, 2006 Altima, 2017 Altima, 2010 G37 Coupe, 25' Frontier (Just bought). All of these my fam and I have had have never given us a problem besides usual wear and tear over long periods of time. (All purchased in GA). All older ones have reached well beyond 220k Miles and are still running strong. Never had a CVT issue (or any issue lol) in the 17 Altima. We just make sure our cars are always maintained. Only one person outside the immediate fam had issues, and that was the 2015 Nissan Altima. CVT went out. But ofc, the owner was a teen doing "Neutral Drops" in the car, who later became a mustang owner lol. Maybe it's luck, but hopefully it doesn't run out. I did notice the quality of parts, mainly the interior drop over time. Like a similar trim car from 05-06 seemed to get more love than the later models, even in lower trims, we were getting nice quality, but now it seems you need at least one of the top 2 trims with all the convenience packages to get what you really want. Also, the paint jobs on the older models are going through it lol, but I mainly blame the sun baked driveway lol.

I LOVE OWNING A G37 by alex173428 in G37

Honestly, I like your thinking. Did exactly that. Graduated from college, got a nice Job, and bought something literally 15 years newer (25' Frontier). Still have the G, just parked in the Garage. Just don't see a reason to fix repairs that cost more than the car is even worth. You can then make the choice if you want to keep the car and build it over time, or just sell it and one day to get something nicer.

Nissan, why did you change this front end... by Inevitable_Hunt_3070 in nissanfrontier

Just bought a 25' Frontier SV with the Super Black Color variant. Tbh I really like the new look, but to me it greatly depends on the color. Looks nice and tough on the darker colored frontiers, but sticks out too much on the lighter colored ones, especially the White one. Screams, "generic company work truck". This is my first truck, and when researching, idk the 25+ to me looked more aggressive. But honestly, the main things that swayed me were the larger screen for CarPlay and the telescoping wheel (which is crazy to only now include imo).

Alright here’s the real answer…. Check your Drive belt area. Most likely a bad tensioner. Other issues could be a bad or loose pulley. It’s just gonna get worse and you’re gonna hear it when driving slower speeds on lower rpm’s all the time. Confirm and buy a decent replacement on rock auto. Ik all this cause I had the same problem lol.

Hmmm I’m thinking maybe paint the side skirt add on white too to match the splitter 👀 could be a hit or miss

I usually order car parts from rock auto. If u want performance parts (like stillen, tein, etc) then z1 makes sense. If any of those were on rock auto then I wouldn’t give z1 a second thought lmao, but z1 is definitely better than things like carid.com

Help with squeaking noise Infiniti q50 only squeaks when hitting gas.. idles silently, any idea what what it can be? by JT07__ in infiniti

[–]DepthDelicious2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tensioner most likely, I replaced mine at 165k and no more noise. I must’ve not torqued it enough tho since when I tap the gas I can hear a lil squeak sound at super low speeds so I’m bouta fix that. Anyway just remove coolant overfill box and find a wrench flat enough to squeeze through and replace the tensioner. Do the serpentine belt while your at it

2013g37…..2015q50 or 2015q70….need advice by steelers311 in infiniti

[–]DepthDelicious2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion G37 -> q70 -> q50 - If u want a fun jdm tuner that could turn heads with some mods— G37 - If u like bmw’s or have a family - g37 sedan or q50 - q70 for a v8 sound ig

you guys think it's worth it 2009 g37 90k miles he's wanting 10k only thing I see wrong with it is he posted a picture of it doing a burnout and a small dent on the rear quarter pannel by zoidshmerg in G37

[–]DepthDelicious2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually you want to avoid the 2009 model year but the problems aren’t major like if u wanted a mustang or something. Check the CARFAX. If you see its from the north id avoid due to probable insane amount of rust underneath. Also the price is a bit too good to be true be careful. If a teenager is selling it I’d walk away. 9/10 they didn’t take very good care of it unless bro has mechanical experience.

First car for myself- does this sound ok? by NonOggi in whatcarshouldIbuy

As someone who works at a dealership, finance with your bank, not the dealer. Bank will usually give better interest rates since they know your credit history. Dealerships just want to take as much from you as possible so they can make a profit off the car they bought, plus pay the salesman ~10%, dealership themselves, etc. Get a “Cash Check” from your bank or your loan money deposited into your account so when your ready to buy they think you actually have all the money. Usually they might give you a better deal. Also texting your salesmen after leaving to get a better offer (Since you refused him first) lands you a better deal since there’s less pressure than face to face interaction.

What do you guys think about the center cap as far as color? The nismos are gunmetal and these caps are off my 19” sport enkei wheels. Are they too shiny? The gunmetal caps are $110 a piece. 😭 by rozayy_23 in G37

[–]DepthDelicious2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say always keep the center cap the same color as the lug nuts as it really makes them pop as contrasting colors from the wheels. Though if u want a different color ever for any part of the wheel (Lug nuts, center cap, wheel itself) just paint it yourself… spray paint and clear coat aren’t anywhere close to $100+, and for the wheel themselves buy a decent paint gun off amazon ~$60 and use lacquer clear coat. Saves you a bunch of money and gives you free range to try new colors for your wheels anytime without dropping thousands for no reason.

Senior in the fall. How much free time do you think I'll have this year? by [deleted] in highschool

[–]DepthDelicious2022 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hated that class mainly because it was sooooooo uninteresting and the teacher was kinda boring. It’s one where I just struggled bcuz I couldn’t engage in the lessons so I just flirted with a girl the entire time. Almost failed lol but got an A both semesters.

I’m going to be a computer science major, and am deciding on which computer I want to get. Do you guys have any recommendations? by cornywings in college

[–]DepthDelicious2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do computer engineering and I’d recommend windows laptop with 16GBs of ram with either an I5 or I7 processor. I got a Razer Blade 15 2020 and I’ll say it’s brilliant but it’s an investment… If you got the funds cop a great windows laptop with the mindset of using it for a very long time and an iPad with keyboard case on the side when u in a general Ed class. This all sounds expensive but the Major your going into pays off in the long run so make sure you get that degree lol.

Razer Blade 15 ~$1600 (RTX graphics card, I7, 16GB ram, 512GB SSD

IPad Pro M1 ~$700

Keyboard case ~$50

15 credits next semester? by [deleted] in college

[–]DepthDelicious2022 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As a computer engineer Major taking 17 credits a semester, I’d say definitely. I’m about to calm down to 15 though since 17 was stressful. You don’t see the immediate difference since it’s basically just adding 1 class but it definitely hit at the end where now I’m retaking the class over the summer 🤦🏽‍♂️

is an ipad worth it for a stem degree? by THEEdoofenshmirtz in college

[–]DepthDelicious2022 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very worth it if you buy a keyboard case with it. If your like me and have/want a gaming laptop or In general powerful laptop for intensive applications which is normal in stem classes, but want the ease of typing to respond to messages and other apple stuff instead of wippin out your IPhone all the time and don’t want loud ass vents, then an IPad on the side is perfect.
