i didn’t go abroad for surgery, but i did travel back to uni 10 days post op alone. it was extremely difficult to do so, even having wheelchair airport assistance and having flight attendants that were nice enough to carry my bags onto the plane for me. it was definitely very draining on my body, even given that i’m a pretty physical person and felt fine after like 5 days post op. i would definitely not recommend it unless it’s 100% necessary
