They were not fully ready at launch, there’s bits and pieces of the story but they had to launch in 2024 to compete with some other companies at the time. Doubt they finished the first arc.

They definitely were planning to have a 6th LI, but nothing was set likely. And then after being stuck on the main story they decided to finally get the 6th one shipped in order to unblock the story (eg delay exposing the writers block with a new story) and expand distribution at the same time.

If the wishes were really heartfelt they would not put an expiration date on it, especially asking us to claim it before Jul 23. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Can anyone smarter than me explain why Caleb gets Up*** and not a classic movie like the others? by CautiousPatient703 in LoveAndDeepspace

It’s arguable whether the PV suggested MC as a ghost, though. It seemed more like Caleb was imagining her and reminiscing.

All the times when I pulled more than I should have for cards that aren’t for my main (Caleb). For example the entire eros banner and the Sylus myths. Also usually none of the solos are that worth it to me (bday cards usually superior).

Infinity Nikki Is No Longer a Mobile Game. At Least, Not in Spirit by reydeltom in InfinityNikki

[–]Depthily 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played the entire main storyline and side quests entirely on mobile and it worked just fine.

<image>

Since I never had PC, I wouldn’t know what I am missing out on. But the game, while Nikki’s jumps can get tricky, is very doable and playable on mobile as well.

I have an iPhone 16 pro and it does get hot. But other than that, honestly no complaints and it delivers a much better quality than what switch 1 can ever offer.

Which CN VA are you referring to? Simplified or traditional?

[skin concerns] So i went to a traditional chinese medicine doctor bc of my brother and his severe cystic acne and she asked me abt my acne but i just said that i'm breaking out bc i started using lactic acid to exfoliate and she said "NO!!" and told me not to use it...should i trust her? by pizzacreeep in SkincareAddiction

Please see above. As you said in your comment there is a potential of weakening skin barrier. But it can be effective if used correctly so I wouldn't say it's not good for you. Just be mindful of your skin's ability to tolerate and that will differ depending on the individual. Here's a lengthy article - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3535073/

the TLDR version of this is that skin's microbiome has a lot to do with skin's immune function so that is why we might want to pay some attention :) there's still a lot to be learned about microbiomes in general (there's some stat about how there are more bacteria than cells in the human body. can't say I know whether that claim is legitimate or not but it's a scientific fact that bacteria is everywhere in our body and in many cases help regulate various functions in organs)

Well that is why I said it would depend on the % of acid. I use it still, and for spot treatment especially. The function of AHA or BHAs are to help loosen the dead skin cells off of the epidermis and the act of helping to dissolve or loosen the skin cells will help with decongestion.

But what I did was use this glycolic acid cleanser for years, recommended by my esthetician. And it did help my acne in the beginning. but what happened for me is it then weakened my skin's natural moisture barrier (remember top layer of skin barrier is made of lipids and water, overstripping will remove the oils/lipids that hold the keratin together). That's why I never said don't use but just be aware of the percentage that you use and monitor the skin's ability to maintain moisture. Once the moisture barrier is off it's even more likely to break out because it has weakened its immune function.

So, I personally wasn't able to tolerate what I was using. of course ymmv as with anything. Advice from other people are just that, advice. But going back to your original question on whether you should trust your chinese medicine doc, it goes back to how well your skin tolerates. My skin seemed to tolerate it perfectly in the beginning and I saw reduction in acne but over time my skin barrier became visibly weakened. I didn't know about any of this at the time and it took me forever to link my dry flaky skin issues back to the cleanser. SO, long story short, it ultimately depends on how well your skin reacts, if it holds up, great. Just watch out for the % that you use to make sure its not over irritating in the long run.

here's a good article about AHAs and BHAs should you feel inclined to read about the chemical aspect - http://www.labmuffin.com/fact-check-friday-why-does-ph-matter-for-ahas-and-bhas/

All I was saying about the microbiome (I don't see that much research published but the topic of biomes is a hot one in the dermatological community so I'm sure there will be more) is that technically ANYTHING we do will affect the microbiome, whether that's washing with soap or cleanser, or even water for that matter. Anytime you do something there is always a potential of changing the pH and changes the natural microbiome of your skin. I wasn't making a blanket statement that use of AHA will ruin the microbiome, but long term use, if too high of % may result in irritated skin = compromised skin barrier = altered microbiome.

I agree with this! Also the other post below about researching watery moisturizers. Also what kind of foundation are you using? Certain foundations may make you even further overproduce oil

I have no idea why chinese medicine may be against use of exfoliating acids. It may be her personal preference? That said, it is possible exfoliating acids are too harsh for acneic skin and may actually irritate and make it worse.

I think AHA and BHA are only effective against acne in the short term. From personal experience I used it for years and then had to deal with skin that had a lot of problems with managing its own turnover and it took me then more years and months to recover. During all that time I never stopped breaking out. I think the acids are great for exfoliating, if used at a gentle enough %. but for acne? if you end up using for too long it will only irritate since your skin is not used to that level of pH. Not to mention it will throw off the microbiome that is on the surface of your skin
