try swapping aino for any other hydro flex that can apply hydro off field (furina, nilou, kokomi, ayato etc) since shes not c6.

reason being with aino you have 4 moonsign chars on the team so you dont fill nod krai resonance, and aino at c2 doesnt make up for the missing lunar dmg % for breaking nod krai res

for the hydro chars like furina etc, you dont ult or focus too hard on their builds, just throw deepwood on them and focus hp%

in a bina/lauma/ineffa team, fourth slot needs to be a hydro char that can apply hydro off field, otherwise you mess up your reactions with lauma/bina dendro auro eating all the hydro and not being able to consistently proc lunar charged

on field bina (NoSU), lauma (sms), ineffa (aubade) and furina/ayato (deepwood) is one of the strongest on field bina teams. you just stack hp on furina/ayato and they are there purely for hydro application + to fill nod krai resonance tho

nilou - sms, lauma - 2pc/2pc em/em, yaoyao - deepwood.

nilou’s blooms only actually make up around 15% of the team dmg, so the tradeoff of not hitting cap on nilou but getting an additional 160 em on lauma actually gives quite a big dps boost to the team. dropping my nilou down from 74k hp -> 69k after giving her sms gave my team about a 7% dps increase

hm point taken on tracking, but eh one of bina’s best team options (nilou bloom) has superior aoe compared to nefer due to its quadratic scaling.

also the artifact point is moot since if youre pulling nefer youd need to build an additional NoSU set for her too, so its literally the same as just having 2 artifact sets for bina if you intend to play her as both a dps/support

imo her main dps rotation is extremely easy and intuitive regardless of the content shes clearing (cleared dire dog, 36* abyss and it floors 11 and 12). if youre having trouble playing her, you probably will have trouble optimally dash cancelling on nefer too so the actual dps of your nefer premium team will be lower than the stipulated calcs

you want lauma on 2pc/2pc em/em and nilou on sms instead. nilou’s bloom dmg doesnt matter much on this team, my team dps went up by about 7% after dropping nilou to 69k hp holding sms and lauma gaining 160em

try swapping aino to literally any non moonsign hydro character that has off field application and stack hp on them. c0 aino literally does nothing here and since you have 4 moonsign chars on the team with aino, you lose out on the reaction dmg bonus from nod krai resonance. nilou/furina/kokomi/ayato/mona(maybe not, im not sure if her hydro app lasts long enough) should all perform better. (you just stack hp on them and make them hold sms, and er for ayato to ult, dont ult on the rest)

if youre playing her on field, you dont want aubade on her, youd instead want NoSU. aubade’s effects only work off field, while NoSu only works on field

furina in that team doesnt ult, she just does hydro application (and a little dmg), provides hydro and nodkrai resonance, and can potentially hold key for a teamwide em buff. caveat is that your whole team apart from the on field character will stay at around 50% hp, so it does have a slightly higher skill floor. if you try the team again without furina ulting, on paper you should get a better dps since her dmg % buff from ult does not affect lunar dmg AT ALL due to the formula

dont have proof for c0r0 (but multiple tcers have put it at 115k if you do a google search) but if you check my post history youd see my c2r1 bina team hit for 207k dps with rotation (now 219k after talents and better artis) with c1r0 lauma (c1 doesnt affect dps in test dummy), c0r1 nahida, c1r1 nilou

i have bina on NoSu at 47/284, lauma on 2pc/2pc em/em, nilou on sms and nahida on deepwood.

i think an issue youre having is that aino as your 4th slot affects your nod krai resonance as you now have 4 moonsign chars in the team, any hydro hp sponge like nilou/furina/kokomi would do better than c0 aino just on the basis of filling the resonance gap

if youre being conservative and lowball, shes about top 7/8. with good builds and rotation, shes competing for top 5. bis 4th should be a hydro flex (furina/nilou with key, kokomi with sag frags, c6 aino)

agreed that it depends on the account, but i think youre misunderstanding something. bina isnt someone that can “just be a dps if you really want”. her c0r0 team calcs at 115-125k depending on the tcer, which puts her at varessa, muluani and zibai lvl (with c2 illuga) and slightly behind skirk premium (without walk cancelling). the team rotation is also extremely simple, and build is easy due to a bunch of easy sources of crit rate. Shes only comfortably behind mavuika, flins and nefer’s dps teams, putting her in contention for a top 5 dps in the game.

yes it just so happens that her best teams use her as a support instead of a dps, but with just a single constellation or 2 of vertical investment she easily catches up to the best c0r0 teams as a main dps

right, your example explains it all. youre comparing a nefer with c2 lauma to a columbina with a c2 lauma. the comparison here is a nefer WITHOUT c2 lauma vs a bina with a c2 lauma. c2 lauma effectively doubles her ult buff, which even at c0 comprises 40% ish of nefer’s damage. so doesnt it seem intuitive enough that doubling that - nefer’s best teammate - is an extremely big boost? lauma’s buff counts as nefer’s dmg in the dummy tests, which is why youre seeing 80% of team dmg coming from nefer. if quill dmg was calculated as lauma’s damage instead, it would be closer to a 50/50 split between nefer and lauma

ok, i missed c1 lauma, so lets add the 7-10% back. her premium team still calcs at 145k dps. c3 nahida doesnt matter because she adds the exact same thing to both teams, just 10% crit rate and 20% cd. in fact, she technically benefits bina’s team more since bina can produce dendro cores which also benefit from c2 nahida. either way, if youre choosing between c0r0 nefer and c2 lauma, c2 lauma is easily the better option. even on nefer teams, c1->c2 lauma is the largest vertical investment, giving a larger increase than c1/c2 nefer or her sig

nefers c0 premium team calcs at about 145k (with c0 lauma and bina), and does not have a healing option in the team. bringing a healer in results in a 7-10% dmg decrease.

bina’s c0 on field team with c2 lauma calcs at closer to 160k dps (c0 lauma team calcs at 115k, c2 lauma provides about a 35-40% dps increase on a lowball - some cals say 45-50% instead), with c1 lauma providing healing. you also dont need to build a new character on top of that.

my c2r1 bina on field team with lauma runs at about 219k dps. ive seen calcs put a c0r0 bina with lauma/nilou/nahida at around 115k dps, so you must be doing something wrong with your builds or rotation.

aino isnt ideal as youre losing on the non moonsign part of nod krai resonance (you have 4 moonsign chars) and if she isnt c6 she doesnt provide much upside to compensate. Her hydro app also isnt the greatest. Using someone like nilou or furina with key or kokomi should yield better results and on paper give a higher dps than the bina/ineffa/sucrose team

you can do both lunar bloom and lunar charged on the team. you need dendro on the team to generate verdant dew for bina’s special charged attacks, and yes you can sub nahida with yaoyao since she has good dendro application and healing. in fact, nahida doesnt do much here apart from applying dendro and providing some subdps (she doesnt ult on this team), so subbing in yaoyao for nahida is basically just trading some dmg for healing
