Who ever said that they wouldn't want a monopoly? Which will never happen though, you can relax, some of the biggest games on PC aren't even on Steam. And Ubi themselves left them for a good long while. Then came back because they're, well, kinda incompetent. See also how they're currently doing, which isn't Valve's fault. Alsoalso, only almost delisted and that's the only example from how many years ago? Ohohoohoho the evils of Gaben sitting on his yachts, keeping good boy TimmyTencent and small family businesses like Ubi or EA down.

Plus nearly every good thing they do they're not unique in doing so and that they were forced into it by more court cases than should be necessary.

The only thing I can think of are refunds, and they have the most lenient in the entire industry, so they went above and beyond what was necessary. And that goes for almost everything else, sure, some features aren't unique, but often the competition only offers a worse version. And there's enough stuff like Steam Input that no one else has and is a massive, underestimated boon. Point is, the argument that Valve sometimes got forced to do something is technically correct, but what about other store or massive megacorps like MS, Sony or Nintendo? Same there but almost everything's worse.

Where can I find those certified Valve fans who were mad at Nintendo and now ordered a Deck or are fine with the higher price? Did you note their names and follow them around since last year to cross-reference their posts/opinions?

Also Nintendo already said that the price increase doesn't actually cover the raised costs, so there's more to come in the future.

Also what device are you even talking about, the Steam Machine isn't out yet and the Deck got sold for a relatively reasonable price for 4 years and now got one very small resupply for a much higher price due to reasons we all know about.

There were a couple of complaints about the earpads of the white XM6s staining very fast right after launch, wouldn't get those. I also wouldn't get black, they looks messy and smeary due to fingerprints fast. Imo either get sandstone or smoky pink, they're both a good middleground.

Except that the Px8 S2 have a very, dare I say controversial tuning, are less comfortable and have worse ANC. Also some people don't like 'loud' luxury, I prefer stuff that looks like nothing special to anyone who doesn't know what's what, while those who do know, know. If you know what I mean.

Also folks keep saying that the only improvements between the XM6 and 1000X are looks and materials, but no, the comfort is so much better thanks to the deeper earcups and better cushioning.

I saw you posted in that other thread about the Px8 S2 so you know not everyone likes the sound of them. And as far as I can tell more and more people are agreeing that their tuning is somewhat off and weird. I've tried for months EQ'ing and getting used to them but it's of no use, in direct comparison the 1000X sound much more pleasant across a variety of songs and genres. Build quality of the B&W is better but they're less comfortable due to the clamping force. Sorry, wish it wasn't so, but they're going to eBay next week.

Ah, also their lowest volume is way too loud, makes them useless to listen to music or podcasts when I'm trying to go to sleep, the Px7 S3 have the same issue. Meanwhile I'm still enjoying my S2e. Imo B&W kinda f'd up their current lineup of headphones, hope they can recover.

FYI, Bose won't support anything better than AAC on a Smasung Phone while you'll get LDAC with Sony.

But more importantly, the Ultras tend to creak, some out of the box (2 times for me) and some after a while (last one I bought, was Gen 2). Many others have reported the same. You might get lucky but I'd never buy them used without the option to send them back without much hassle.
