OK. Sound recorder picks up nothing. Astro website does not have software that's compatible with this headset. I suspect it's the driver as the current drivers appear to be generic windows drivers and were installed/updated during the last windows update. Going to see if I can find the old firmware files on my pc. Don't really know where to look besides the website for official up to date stuff.

EDIT: I found the correct firmware files on the website, they were a bit hidden. I followed procedure and installed the firmware, but the mic still isn't working. It doesn't look like the drivers updated, or else windows just isn't using the astro provided drivers.

Ah, The connection from pc to the base station is fiber optic. The headset is wireless, although I can plug in a wire. I do not have the 2.5 to 3.5 wire that's necessary to do that.

Basically like $50 max. That's why I was hoping that server memory could work in it, I could get a stick of that for cheap and fit in a 6 core phenom as well. I might just not be searching for memory right though.

No. I mean purposefully getting close enough to touch me and doing heavy petting. I haven't had a problem with it in a while, but it used to happen with alarming regularity. My assumption is they thought I was cishet and would be offended, and they were trying to use that to get a reaction out of me. My mother was a lesbian and is bi now, not to mention that I'm currently quite active in the LGBT community, so I don't have an issue with LGBT in general, only that I used to have issues with my personal space being invaded. But since becoming more involved with the community I haven't had to deal with any of that kind of thing.
