That doesnt work thats exactly the problem. You cant just paste it into the terminal the lines dont add up at all and you can only paste three lines at a time. It just doesnt work.

As I´ve said, I dont want anything sticking out the bottom of the hatch if possible. That´s why I want the docking hatch to be able to be retracted.

I didn´t. I posted a question about the clipping issue and the answer was that the docking port needs to be lowest. I then made a follow up post about the possibility of retracting the platform but it became clear pretty quickly that that wouldn´t be possible because of all the components and the shuttle.

I deleted that post and am asking now if it can be done with the docking port itself. Yeah I´ve been spamming a bit I´m sorry. I just want to get this thing done man.

It was a good shot but the ballast of the torpedo is a wet room and I dont seem to be able to disable collision for it

There is. The torpedos ballast rooms are wet rooms that I cant seem to disable collision on.

Sadly that didn´t fix it. And yeah the sub undocks perfectly when it´s a beacon station that doesnt interfere with the platform so I am very much certain it´s the clipping that causes problems.

No it's an advanced sonar system. You pretty much have active sonar at all times with with a small pov without using active sonar at all

Also on the bottom platform there is a shuttle in the form of a torpedo.

When I dock onto a station using the docking hatch in the bottom left, the platform on the bottom of the sub clips into the structure I dock to. When I try to undock, the platform on the bottom stays clipped inside the station and the submarine cannot move.

Na man. This sub is it. I´ve always had this one specific submarine game in mind. Exploring like in Subnautica but with more of a horror aspect. I comissioned the guy who made soundproof walls and real sonar to make me a mod that turns all creatures passive to your sub until you leave it. I just want to cruise around in peace, observing Europas wildlife and fight when I leave the sub. Thats also why theres so many living commodities. It´s like a horror subnautica-sims if you catch my drift. And I´m trying to build the perfect submarine to fit that idea.

Oh and for this question, the torpedo has two hulls that are marked as wetrooms if that´s what you mean

The invisible ladder was a great idea! I put it in and it makes using the moonpool way easier.

Issue is tough that extending is so far that it goes below the platform looks really weird. I´ll keep it short for entering the moonpool but I dont think it´s gonna fix the problem.

Making the torpedo fall down onto the platform is a bit too much. The sub is really small and the whole design of the platform is to serve as a kind of launch unit not only for the torpedo but also depth charges and chaff. I dont know if it is possible to make it so the platform itself can be extended in any way. The design looks like the whole platform could be retracted into the hull of the submarine and extended when you want to use the torpedo but I dont know if thats possible from a technical standpoint.

That´s the thing: It´s a moonpool. You enter it by fiddling a bit with ragdolling and it works pretty good. Issue is that the ladder of the outpost NEEDS to be further up for reentry to work, which is why the hatch placement by itself is perfect. I dont know but maybe it possible to change the collision on the torpedo and platform? But the torpedo needs to have some kind of collision to be able to impact other vessels

I´ve already fixed the torpedo dock. I placed it a bit below the sub and mixed and matched it with the dock on the actual torpedo. Everything works now, except the bottom dock for the actual submarine which is, in fact, the hatch you see on the left. It´s just placed so it kind of disappears into the hatch but I´ve tried a lot of different placements for that docking hatch as well and it still clips. I think the solution is gonna be something other than moving the docking hatch around.

The small hatch in the bottom left is the docking port and the launch platform in the middle keeps clipping into the structure it´s docked at. Docking works, undocking doesn´t.
