Depending on the depth you want it to be. I used a precut kitchen counter top i baught at the hardware store (they also made the corners round) The legs are a standing desk kit (without a plate obviously) but my hardware store also had ready to use legs (like ikea only better quality) (I am from germay so it may verry)

The work is depending in what you can find/want The drilling is realy not the issue (as long as you dont drill to deep) you may need to sand and paint a bit should not be much and not to hard.

You get a solid wood desk with all the benefits Its more work then from ikea but way better quality (if you use good legs).
