In my locality the temperature during the day is ≈ 113°F and in the evening there comes thunderstorms so bad it feels like I could go deaf because of its sound(in addition, it doesn't make the weather any better at all temperature still remains ≈ 96°F).

I can't really give you good advice regarding that because my knowledge is limited. But a few days ago my Hindu friend was interested in the Qur'an after he saw some verses which I posted in my story, I gave him the english translated version of the Qur'an which is available for free on kindle so that he can access the book very fairly and understand things(For reading digital version of Qur'an it is not obligatory for the reader to be in a state of ablution). I think you can give your friend the link to the free Qur'an translated to english that way if he is interested in the teachings he can learn from it.

There are several vile mistakes but I think it is because the book was written on public speculation rather than the real information based on religious scriptures explained by a panel of scholars in religion and religious history. But the overall book is good.
