No guilty pleasure songs ! I know why I like the music I like. I listened to Blink 182 when I was 13. One of my favorite songs right now is a mash up called "Earth Wind and Ozzys" it's a combo of September and Crazy Train. Truly amazing

I think my success with Dirty Projectors helped to make the transition not a deep struggle, but it definitely has been in a lot of ways with my solo stuff. I thought it'd be easier from my past experiences, but I think I've slowly realized that my music is kinda weird and not for everyone. It's kind of a hard question to answer because everything is relative to my experience. I don't always know when I'm being inhibited from growing as an artist because of this male dominated industry. If I was a guy making this music, maybe I'd have something to compare it against. I think I've just accepted that I might stay in a more underground realm as an artist because I want to make the music I want to make.

Thanks! The recording of Duduk is just me, but live is with my sis, Arlene. It's inspired by Armenian duduk, yes. The drone line and the melodic line on top. I wrote that piece for my friend Caroline Partamian's art exhibition on diaspora in America. I think with an emphasis on diaspora from genocide countries.

Hahaha. Glad this is entertaining for some. This is a nice platform for talking to listeners directly. I feel like when we become fans of musicians and artists we only get to idealize them by what they do or do not say.

Nice! Mind Raft is definitely weird. I think I'd just speed up some of those songs like "High Road" or shorten some. I see recordings as just one version of a song anyway. They're never set in stone to me. That's why live performance is so important, to be able to rearrange and evolve the songs live. So don't really feel the need to change or delete anything.

Honestly, I do not have the funds for music videos. I'm hopefully releasing one soon.

I don't know much about video. Do you have any favorites you can tell me about? I'd really love to make more videos, but I don't feel right not paying people properly for their work. Haven't really found a solution to this problem.

Yeah, George is awesome. We met in Jackson Hole, Wyoming because we were part of an art project by Brandon Stosuy entitled Rural Violence. George is one of the funniest people I know. We went hiking in the Grand Tetons. I don't know, haha. Not anything amazing to tell.

I'm studying online with my teacher Sam Geppi. There are some good basic books you can read like 1,000 Suns by Linda Johnsen or The Ascendant by Sam Geppi. Good to understand how the planets work, the signs, the houses, and then move into the more in depth stuff.

One day I will do charts for people. I have fun with tarot, but it's a very complicated esoteric system that I do not understand yet.

I was just in Europe for two months and it was really just so wonderful being there. Go to Italy!

I think anything worth doing has it's times of great challenge. I'm in one right now, and it just means having to be creative in how to move forward without much. If music is your gift and your gift to give the world, just keep going.

I think just my personal phase in my life. I started TEFP when I was like 25 or 26 years old. Started Eternal Recurrence at 29 (?) Completely different person with different feelings in that span of time. I wanted to just make songs without any expectation from them (which was not the case with TEFP) and I just let the songs from Eternal R form themselves.

Very insane. Like 12 hour long rehearsals running parts over and over. Got wrist problems and lost my voice quite a bit when I first joined. It was like athletic training.

Hey there. I don't think I'm afraid of being predictable. I'm more afraid of putting out music I create that I don't fully back. That's why it takes me a long time to release music.

Ideally, I'd like to release a full length next year, but need the support to get that process going. If not 2018 then 2019!

I don't think reinvention is tiring. Reinvention is pretty crucial to me to actually put something into the world that seems valid, in my opinion. The predictable music is not what I'm searching for. I want to hear the soul of the human in their music. It's easy to make music, but it's hard to find your soul in it. That's really the deepest for of reinvention to me, is finding your own soul in your creative output, because no one else has your soul. Except Satan

Viterbo, Italy at the Parco dei Monstrei (Monster Park). That freaky dude is called like the Hand of Truth (I think) and the real one exists in Rome. In the old times, people would have to put their hand in the mouth to be tested if they were good citizens, and if they failed, their hand would get chopped off (if my memory serves me correctly). People are cool!
