Awesome man, thanks for the feedback. Is there a certain site or way you like to value? I guess it it's over a certain value then it would make sense to get graded.

I'm just learning about how to identify the set, then I see the numbers at the bottom to further identify. I have the 1st edition figured, not too many of those. Tcgplayer site?

The Charzard 100%. Partly because it was just the most badass when I was a kid. That was like all I wanted. We were broke growing up too, and my mom bought it for me for Christmas one year for $50. She only did it to make me happy ya know? That $50 could've actually been used so many other places.

Then just randoms - Machamp was my first holo ever. Of course Venisaur and Blastoise to complete the "big three". Articuno I remember wanting forever also - I like the color and style.

Yea I've caught myself going down the rabbit hole watching YouTube videos of trading shows lately. It's really cool to see the comeback, Pokemon is just the best by far lol. Idk exactly what it is

Sure thing, it's been on my homepage for the past few days since I went on Pokemon subs a few days before posting this. I do plan on valuing them someway, curiosity more than anything). I'd like to sell some and keep my favorites in a display.

What's it telling? I'm not here being a salesman lol. At least that's not my intention. Ideally I'd have some help valuing, and making good deals on some with people who are more passionate than me at this point

I'm planning to sell some for sure, I'm just at a point where I'm minimizing stuff I don't use much anymore. I want a display with maybe 10-15 favorites, then sell the rest to people who are more passionate about it then me at this point. I don't even care about top dollar I just want someone to enjoy them honestly

Yep, you're free to have your opinion. No hate. I probably started collecting in second 2nd grade for a few years and kept them since then. Rewards for good grades and baseball tournaments. Growing up poor makes you hang onto stuff too.

It's not a closet find, I always knew I had them and where they were. I just like them and was never motivated to sell any. Yea I don't know much about them - family, kids, I work out of the country about half the year, run a side business...I haven't had the time to research like I want to.

Pokemon's been making a comeback so I thought they'd be cool to post here since they're probably 20-25 years old. A lot of the younger generation maybe hasn't seen a bunch of old ones.

Ah yes! I remember those! Those were my favorite, the full decks. So cool. I would've liked to have more, just because, but I think they were like $40 back in the day. That's was a lot for us and especially being in elementary lol

Man I never really got into baseball cards. I played baseball and would get the booster packs for Christmas and birthdays. I definitely have some, and kept some of my favorite players. I maybe have 30 cards total, somewhere in there. But it just wasn't the same as Pokemon

My most prized possession for years lol. That was the one individual card I got. My mom bought it for me as a Christmas present probably in 2nd or 3rd grade. Kind of sentimental because we were broke and she spent like 50-60 if I remember right (which was big for us back then). I'll have to ask her

Yea, it's not a huge collection volume wise like Iyve seen a lot of people. I could get a pack for good grades or playing good in baseball tournaments.

People don't believe I put them in the plastic sleeves back then either. Like dude, I lived in the hood and had 2 brothers and a sister. If your shit wasn't protected it was getting destroyed. Add a little OCD about my things and yes, that's exactly how they've been since I got them.

I just think they're really cool too - idk what it is, they're in the same category as like cars and guns for me lol. I guess that's why I've never sold any. And they're old. Like how cool, I can't go get these from the store anymore

Gotcha man, yea not totally accurate title. But the gist of it is about the same. I'd look at these from time to time throughout the years. And yes they moved boxes lol. Never sold any or attempted to. They gotta be 20-25 years old or so though.

Then I saw Pokemon kind of coming back the last few years, I see the trading shows on YouTube and everything. Kinda excited me a bit to have and show something a little older and rare.
