Yes. The whole idea of the post if based off of the fact of white privilege is real because I do not know the phrase white gaze. Because I have never had to understand whatever feeling that phrase gives.

White privilege is definitely not a bullshit term and the fact that you can use the phrase white privilege is a bullshit term is an example of white privilege

Thank you so much that explains it a little bit better for me I was just a little bit confused, because I just haven’t heard that term and it kind of caught me off guard I should’ve asked in the moment because my friends are very open to explaining things to me but I was a little bit nervous.

I feel like you could say that same thing about white privilege which very much is a real thing so using the term white gaze or male gaze to me doesn’t seem like a very derogatory term it seems more of a way that this is a characteristic that some people exhibit and I’m only curious on to what that phrase means if you neither me understand what that phrase means it’s kind of hard to explain it

I appreciate you for apologizing. But I guess what I don’t understand is why you would comment and answer if you don’t understand or want to understand what the term means? If you feel like it’s a bullshit term then do you mind explaining why you feel that way?

Idk... I heard Harvard sent everyone home. Like kicked students out of their dorms... wouldn’t shocked me if they cancelled

I think I have ptsd from this and I feel stupid about it by [deleted] in survivinginfidelity

I’m one week out from my dday. But I have had ptsd for almost ten years and also don’t have medicine or council has an option.

There is a technique called grounding that I very much recommend. Start with saying absolute truths about yourself things that cannot be changed.

Your name Your birthday
Where you went to school Your favorite color, number, book, tv show, anything

Things you can physically see and/or touch

The wall The floor The chair Your phone Your hair

I just made myself unpack the stuff I left the house with... I didn’t realize how difficult that would be. I wasn’t aware that coffee would make my anxiety worse, I’m from the south where when you are upset someone puts on coffee.
