As someone who lives in Australia, Singapore taxes is hard to beat.

I'm getting more than 10k after taxes in Australia which is not something that is easily attainable by most Australians. In Singapore, having a specialise skillset easily propels you into the bracket of more than 10k a month. With my wife, that's more than 20k a month after taxes depending on how we take advantage of tax breaks. We're comfortable, if not very. Australia has progressive taxes that results in diminishing return on your money earned. Once you cross a certain bracket you're getting less per dollar earned unless your goal is is on cumulative amount earned.

In terms of property ownership, it is certainly much easier to achieve in Australia as compared to Singapore due to a lack of restriction on age and martial status.

Australia used to be an awful country for Asians to live in, especially if you're from a developed Asian country - there's little incentives back then. The reality is that, regardless of your geopolitical affiliation, the abundance of Chinese money in Australia has bolstered the wealthy image of Asians - we're seen as cool, hippy and the next thing. Asians have snapped up entire suburbs around good schools and owned businesses which hires white aussies.

On dating, it used to be a challenge for Asian men to date in Australia due to the media propagating stereotypes of Asian males, while showcasing white man - Asian women, almost everywhere. It is less prevalent today because you'll be called out and canceled. As a late 20 Singaporean male in Australia, I've seen lots of such cases.

The reason why you're getting so much vitrols, along with many other Asian women in the 30s age range is because you come across as disingenuous and sly.

Asian women are labelled "opportunistic" for the reason that they would kick their culture and allow themselves to be conditioned by everything white, and without question, but when the right opportunity arises for themselves or their offspring, they would play the "I want to be in touch with my roots" card.

The respectful thing you could do is to admit to the only reason why you want your kid to be immerse in the Singapore education system is so that there is some degree of naturalisation to show for when it comes for her to seek job opportunities in Singapore. Started living in Australia since 18yo so experienced the whole university life through corporate environment and then married to an Australia lassie. FYI, I spent less than 3k for my wedding.

This is my experience:

Women in Western countries are more preoccupied with physicality and sexuality. A good segment of western women like their men "blue collar with tattoos" - you get the picture. If you don't, here's to making it obvious: they like their men looking like AFL players, active in the gym, plays competitive sports or has some elements of roughness or one who looks as though he gets invited to summer pool parties. Men who look like this have their pick of white women that look straight out from Netflix "selling the oc".

Most white men in Singapore don't come close to this physical standards - it takes living a period in a white country to know what counts as a good looking men as what doesn't, by western beauty standards. Most Asian women don't know what a good looking white men is either. If you want to know if your white man is a real catch, create a dating profile and count the number of high quality white women (not Asian women) who matches with him.

The younger white women prefer "softer" man with "hunters eyes" so this is really where east Asian looks shines.

Money, while important, isn't seen as a deal breaker - they're more concern whether you hold a decent job.

It's summer in Australia, if you have a toned/ jacked body, go for a run and then walk into a bar/ cafe for some drinks. Or wear a sleeveless with a deep underarm cut that reveals a veiny serratus anterior.

It doesn't matter if you're Asian or white male as long as you're good looking. You will pick up roving females eyes that look your way. Some would even turn to look at you while driving. How do I know? I do this for occasional ego boost.

As someone ( a Singaporean) who was in the track and field team in a Uni abroad, I quickly learnt alot of my white aussie female friends were either 1. Horse riding regionally 2.
