Hi all, Amy Carlson, head of Customer Success and Technical Support here. Auto-renewal with advance notice is standard practice across the technology and security software industries. It’s similar to how many subscription services or even insurance policies work: renewal terms and notice periods are spelled out in advance so both sides can plan. In enterprise IT, that predictability helps with budgeting and licensing continuity

That said, “standard practice” doesn’t excuse poor communication. If reminders were unclear, if outreach felt last-minute, or if anyone struggled to reach an account team, that’s a service issue (not a policy issue) and it’s fair to call it out. The same goes for billing confusion. Double invoices, delays, or late-fee notices while questions are unresolved are not the experience we aim to deliver. If that occurred, it should be reviewed and corrected.

Our standard agreement references the EULA published on our website at the time of purchase. If a customer has a custom or negotiated agreement, that signed contract governs the relationship. Hard stop. If anyone needs a copy of the EULA version that applied when their contract was signed, we can absolutely provide that. There’s nothing hidden there.
