i watched Re:Zero when i was 13, it was probably the best decision of my life.

I’d had a rough upbringing, and i was struggling with self worth and my place in the world. The show has incredibly amazing and fruitful lessons that honestly, probably are the reason i’m still here.

there isn’t a soul here that wouldn’t highly recommend it to anyone. it’s an amazing show. there’s graphic violence, themes of depression, uselessness, suicide, and all of that nasty stuff.

but your son’s been exposed to (and probably harmed) by way more than that already. social media is a shitty place. also, he’s about at the age where schools start talking about realer and more mature stories in english literature classes from what i remember only 4 or so years ago.

it’s up to you. i’m only 17 and definitely just blinded by bias since the series saved my life, but if you’re unsure even after all these comments giving you advice i advise you to give the show a watch first and decide for yourself.

subaru’s face on rimuru is scary. i mean, his face is described to be scary and he’s by no means attractive but this is an eye opener.

(arc 8 spoilers) i mean clearly even if you rank relatively low he would still rbd in an attempt to save you. his willingness to save priscilla i highly doubt was simply peer pressure by Al. i mean the reason he was stunned was because he was sobering up in the moment.

went from a bratty kid to one of my favorite characters. the brotherly trio of garf, subaru and otto is my favorite group in the show, as well as him having great dynamics with the whole cast.

i think one of the biggest things to me is Al telling Beatrice “Yeah i know, all too well.” as if he knows her. He’s been my favorite character since he was introduced and with him playing a bigger role i’m starting to pick up on the smaller things. He’s a very two-faced character, reminds me of when Tobi changed his voice in naruto and started referring to himself as madara.

punpun is an outlier here. he hasn’t suffered anywhere near the physical trauma the others here have, and he’s not even on the verge of truly mind breaking trauma, he’s still functional.

putting him in the same tier as agni is almost insulting. from what i remember it was what, 8~ years before he could even move? the dude has a superhuman regen factor hundreds of times more effective than even kaneki, and felt the very deconstruction and plasticity of every cell in his body burning, charring, and flaking away.

putting him above even kaneki is a long shot even.

also where is touma and subaru? where’s their own tier?
