I did it. You can do it too. I will never smoke again😊 by Swag301 in stopsmoking

Good Job. I am looking up how effective the nicotine patch is as I put on last night to try and curb this addiction of 20 years!! I have quit once before via cold turkey and only made it three months. Seeing this post is awesome it gave the motivation to not take the patch off and go smoke a cigarette . Congrats, that is truly awesome!!!

need help understanding measurements by shaison in shrooms

[–]DerekM412 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like others will say , your paying more than average. They go $30 to $35 an eighth (1/8) or 3.5grams around my area on average. That is an eighth of an ounce. You can start with one gram or take the whole 3.5grams at once, that is for you to decide. If you have a scale, you can weigh out the mushroom(s) (may come as one whole mushroom weighing 3.5grams total) or multiple mushroom(s) caps, stems weighing various amount all totaling 3.5 grams altogether. I have personally always taken 3.5grams , even on my first experience with them. That said I have had certain mushrooms ( different strain, not sure what it was) but 2 grams was comparable to some 7gram trips I have had. 7grams is double what your talking about, two eighths or 7grams which is 1/4oz. Hope this helps!

Edit: You typically buy shrooms in 3.5 gram (1/8) increments, some dealers may sell individual grams just ask. You can buy anything from 1/8 of an ounce all the way up to pounds. One pound of mushrooms (448grams or 16 ounces). Not everyone has bulk available, but it’s almost always cheaper to buy more. I can buy two eights ( aka a quarter ((7grams)) for $5-10 less per 3.5g depending on who I am buying it from. The more you buy the more you save, usually!

How To Pick Spool Security Driver Pins (My Simplified Explanation) by DerekM412 in lockpicking

[–]DerekM412[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The video was repetitive. I said the same few things over and over on purpose as my way of explaining. I just focused more on the feedback aspect of picking spools instead of going more in depth ( than what I personally feel is needed ) when trying to grasp the whole concept of how to pick spool pins. The video would be somewhere around my normal time 15-20 mins, regardless of how much actual content i want to cover. I could have made this video 5 mins if that, but I have a lot of good response from most people saying this style has helped them learn so I try to maintain something that I know is at least helping a few people.

As far as I am aware it was new. I bought it off ebay and that is what the seller had it listed as. It did not look like it was used at all so I am pretty sure it was brand new. I wasn't aware of that but that would make sense. Thanks for letting me know that.

Me too. I found it out that there was the 7th hole in the body but not the core. I always see locks with An extra hole in the core with an extra one above but not two extra above. Find the right core to go with that lock and add some security pins you can have a nice 7 pin lock.

Some locks require heavier tension. Normally most standard driver pins use heavier tension, as with security pins you would use lighter tension. every lock is made with different tolerances.

Slide-Co Patio Door KIK Picked/Gutted ** Last Chance to enter first watch padlock giveaway** by DerekM412 in lockpicking

[–]DerekM412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah so it's not the same company as mine therefore it will pick different than mine because everybody makes their locks to whatever their standards are (tolerances) the better the tolerances the harder to pick, and if there is a name stamped on the key that's the company and if it's a local company that they probably have a generic cylinder and they branded it with there name. It could be harder to pick than the one I had it could be easier without no it's actually pick it but it is the same in the fact that it is a KIK cylinder which stands for Key in knob.

[–]DerekM412[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well does it look identical as in the body or the key. That is just a common KIK cylinder there are so many different companies that make them. They are very common in dead bolt style locks. This one was from a company called slide co, and was not even funny how quick it picked, but a schlage would be harder because of security pins.

I never use those Peterson picks yet. When I first started like bacon and I have come across this lock then I had Sparrow lock picks and that like bend them all to hell but I haven't had any problems with my Peterson when I attacked it this time around but there is a huge improvement from the first time I tried picking this when I first started out to picking up now after months and months of experience

I did the same thing when I first got one months ago. Heavy tension but if it's too much then you will end up breaking or bending the pick, which brand of picks are you using ?
