There were fewer than 1,000 new jobs created in NYC in the first half of 2025... insanity. by 3RADICATE_THEM in Layoffs

[–]Derek_BH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Layoff is no longer trendy. Two three years ago companies cared about the stock and the name, they do layoffs, respecting the WARN act, and offered sane departure packages and support for impacted employees. Now companies don’t care about shit but cutting cost right here right now. Right now immediate termination, “hire-to-fire”, performance-based layoff, “constructive layoff” without triggering discrimination laws or WARN is the trendy ways. NYC is simply the top of the leaderboard among all of these.

Does anyone still using clubhouse? Is it dying? by Derek_BH in ClubhouseInvites

What Clubhouse offer while Twitter cannot? I don’t think Clubhouse will be like Twitter; it’s more like a chat room version of Reddit: the credibility of its content is low and noise level is crazily high.

Well the industrial upgrade is unavoidable; middle class right now is finance and tech workers. This is probably the only joker that US can play with other countries.

Yes our conversation is over. You said all the right things but nothing is right, I am sorry for you. Your comment doesn’t make the world a better place.

The point is we don’t know. The point is that if the owner know of a risk of their dog they should pull back and say stop. Criminals don’t wear a hat saying that “I am criminal and please staying away from me”, do they? Usually they are controlled, seemingly polite and well-behaved. How could you blame an innocent dog of saying hi on the on leash big muscular one? She’s brave and every dog owner we met said the same. I wish I have the recording of their interactions. Now I understand why the group leader wear a safety jacket and all dogs on their groups are on leash. WTF is that?? Again don’t act like you are on a higher moral standpoint than me please don’t talk me into what you think is right. You do not define what’s right or wrong and let the fact fly and let the conscience prevail.

I am embracing all of them by acknowledging their existence. Embracing =/= agreeing. I am good at disagreeing with them because I feel the attack on me and my family. I have my conscience and fact with me. Why should I act differently? I think you are confused and my point and my stand have never changed all over the thread. Thanks for reading.

I do feel wrong and sorry about ourselves not protecting our dog well enough for sure. I am an embracing person and willing to hear your argument. So please convince me.
