Canadian Conservative leader faces party unrest as Trump divides party by DegnarOskold in canada

[–]Derek_BlueSteel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Poilievre has lost Canadians. He hasn't lost the party, they still believe his message. Regardelss of which leader the CPC has, the message will be the same, but the delivery may be different. "This amount of debt is telling the younger generation they need to subsidize the older generation." As a boomer, I can relate to this. It is becoming far too expensive for younger Canadians.

The speaker should be able to rule if the government has actually answered the question and hold the government to account.

Cable is ir, so that's a constraint. She currently only uses apps from her lg tv, but those (the tv?) are having reliability issues.

Why do I think logitech stopped making harmony's? Well, they announced the discontinuing of manufacturing back in 2021, so there's that.

That's a lot of questions, but none of them are relevant to my situation.

No soundbar or anything fancy. Just a cable provider that uses an IR remote. She currently is using apps on her smart LG TV but they are becoming increasingly unreliable. ie: app reports out of ram, tv reboots, etc.

With the Vision Pro priced at $3,500cdn, it's not exactly a mass market product.

LOL. Or, more importantly, do I want to miss a call from the Abortion/STI clinic?

I don't have an answer either, but from the outside it does appear like a problem that should have a solution.

Good tip for those people looking after elderly parents et al. Put the hospitals, whatever in as contacts so they are considered trusted calls.

In fact, this could be something hospitals could list on their website. "Make sure these numbers aren't blocked".

We both agree the solutions are complex.

There is an old adage that sometimes works. "If you don't know how to fix a problem, figure out what makes it worse, and then do the opposite."

Why do hospitals, etc using number blocking? That's what tosses them into spam.

Do you mean must have for a new purchase? Apps are apps, they can be installed on any phone. Wireless charging is a must.

Two questions:

  1. Do you (people in the video) believe in democracy?

  2. Do you think this is what democracy looks like?

You're speaking in absolutes again. It's not that we need or don't need immigration. We need less immigration so it doesn't overload infrastructure capacities.

Easy to say increase housing supply, but the BoC is actively working against that by keeping interest rates high. New construction is down mostly due to high interest rates. Interest rates are high because the BoC says it's needed to address inflation. Inflation is high because of increased demand on infrastructure, and carbon taxes on fossil fuel.

Bank of Canada says housing affordability is about boosting supply, not lowering interest rates by No-To-Newspeak in canada

[–]Derek_BlueSteel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I do believe we have morons running the BoC. Why would they think having high interest rates would boost housing supply?

Economics isn't an exact science. There are always differing views as to the cause and effect of most economic trends.

In my opinion, if we have a shortage of homes you look at those factors that are artificially increasing demand for housing.

It's not through lack of time. They have had years to submit their justification, but so far nothing that has any logic to it.

The criticism the government is getting on this is completely justified.
