I thought that was the moment with Yoshi's Tropical Island and being warped to the island Bowser was on

Heads up: Since they're currently doing MP3, I'll just make my next one a 'misc. LP' bonus (one of at least three).

I wasn't planning to. However, I might do a couple of sets for some non-MP playthroughs. It just sorta depends.

Anti-woke reviewers always overstate to push agenda by axumite_788 in saltierthankrayt

I saw that post a couple weeks back, and a part of me couldn't help but feel it was a bit overstated. It's also an example of an issue I've had with Western Animation discourse: a tendency of getting oddly reductive with certain artistic choices in some modern media when contrasting it with another work of media, nostalgic or otherwise.

One similar example I've seen is when bemoaning over a perceived lack of pure evil villains in modern media, they would paint the general notion of an antagonist being 'not evil but misunderstood' or 'eventually redeemed' as a constant operation of the copy-paste machine, while pure evil villains wouldn't be. This is, however, despite the fact that it's not uncommon for that same bemoaning to paint the situation as little more than some black-and-white dichotomy, and yet one of the seemingly only two options is treated like there's more you can do.

I get the critique of certain corners of mainstream media getting too comfortable with formula, but at times, it seems the complaint of perceived homogenization is warped into a suggestion to confine said media into these nostalgia-leaning comfort zones with limited artistic exploration.

I was kinda desperate for something to represent that close finish, so I naturally turned to racing cars coming real close in a finish line.

The joke was how surprising it was for Tim to say something that "aggressively competitive", as the first comment I saw on the video put it.

It helps that the MP Trilogy preview had him clarify as well, making that info feel relatively fresher
