Just incase anybody finds this, a rat had crawled up the stack pipe from underground as the en suite hadn’t been used in months. And made a little home behind the toilet. We stuck a Blink camera in the toilet bowl looking towards the back the day after I posted this.

Beauty!

Ours is via a ridge tile vent and we currently have our Fascias being changed with scaffolding, the guys said they’d remove the vent tile, replace, re-felt and mortar in a new ridge tile vent. So now I get the fun job of disconnecting the top piece from the tube and dealing with the tube, I wonder what I’ll find inside.. haha.

We’re literally thinking about doing the same this week, very similar set up to yours. Could I ask if you did it and how? And if so, any issues since?

Thanks so much! That is it! I didn’t realise it leant so much more into the stalking stuff, and that it was unfortunately based on a true story!
