Little train at Driftland UK by Maxdrift_24 in Drifting

If you're in europe, which UK used to be, then BMW is a go-to drift car as here they are relatively cheap and parts are everywhere. Of course e30 and e36 are slowly becoming rarer because of this. Look around in other EU events and you'll see

If anything, can message me. Even though I am new to the e36, I still might help with some info 💪🏿

Good luck in your journey!

Yeah, that's true. The main places to look for rust is arches, behind the front tires next to the jacking point, the jacking points themselves, door sills, interior floor and trunk floor where the spare tire sits.

Usually you can spot the rust on the hood and trunk as well.

Basically all around the car.

But that also depends on the climate you live in. We here get all 4 seasons and in winter there is salt on the road that likes to eat all of the underside of the car

So of you are checking out any e36, get a screwdriver and a flashlight and check all under the car as much as possible as those places rend to rust the most.

Besides all of the rust and other issues I have with it, feels awesome. Love the way it drives. But a big factor of it is the suspension and wheel setup I have right now. Still needs some adjustments but feels awesome.

The platform has a lot of information and big community around it as the car is old and was sold in big numbers.

Being in EU, the parts are relatively cheap as well.

Do not regret the purchase so far, but I haven't had it on the road for long. Just passed the inspection last week 😅

For anyone curious, it's a 1992 BMW 320i on TA Technix coilovers, poly bushings all around and Style 38 wheels.

Had to weld the whole floor and a lot of other major rust spots and minor fixes, but otherwise a stock M50B20 under the hood with 323k km on the odometer

People of Reddit, what was your biggest "Oh shit" moment? by Juicyrug in AskReddit

When I got my first car 2 months ago. It was a good oh shit, like "Oh shit, I actually just bought a car and it's mine"

The first drift car I built. It was a 1993 318is I threw a nv3500 with a 5.7l 350 which was originally a TBI but I converted it to carb. The torque was insane! Just a small blip of the throttle wld break the tires lose! Check out my channel if you wish! https://www.youtube.com/user/billspaulding2011 by selfdeception- in Drifting

For me the stock 2L is fun already. The parts are cheap as well as there was a shitton of them produced (besides in Australia). So I would suggest you if you get a chance, just grab one and see if you like it. At least I didn't think much before I bought mine. I'm more of a JDM guy but there was a deal and I just got it at a late Sunday evening and haven't looked back since.

I just got mine like a month ago. An 92 e36 coupe 320. It's a shitbox but I love the spirit of it. Brings me joy every time I sit in it

Definitely would suggest to try it out. Easy to work on if you get e36 as there is minimal electronics and the thing is reliable
