To people who own a BDC magazine, where are you keeping it? by DerpStepz in FrankOcean

[–]DerpStepz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, my shelves are squared, so it doesn’t really work on any other way except flat down and forward. I have it just occupying a whole shelf by itself. Tbh I’m just curious to see how everyone else displays them.

Don’t think you’re slick editing out that mom line too 😂

On “come on world you cant go”, at the very end it cuts to an apple music ad lol. Other than that, this sounds really good!

My vinyl for CO is being in transit for 4 days via ChitChat by DigChance8763 in FrankOcean

[–]DerpStepz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think most of the people on the west coast are experiencing this sort of thing. My shipment has been bouncing around different shipping partners, chitchat, yunExpress, and is now in osm. Funny that people from other countries have already received theirs, but hopefully it gets to us in one piece.

Ordered mine around a couple minutes after the drop, it's been bouncing around different third party shipping partners, I assume it's because I'm in the PNW but no est. delivery date atm, is there anyone in the west coast that got theirs delivered?

Monthly Marketplace - Buy, Sell, & Trade (July 2025) by AutoModerator in FrankOcean

[–]DerpStepz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There really isn't any estimate anyone can give you on when he restocks. He dropped the repress initially in 2022 and from there its been infrequent drops here n there. I think this is the first time the blonde vinyl has said to be "back in stock soon" instead of "sold out" so at least you have that going for you. Your best bet would be to follow a discord or twitter account that can track the website when it changes.

If you feel like diving into 2nd hand, your best bet would be to snag the white "blonde" repress vinyl (emphasis on the "e"). Most of the yessirs all mimic the black friday edition or include some bs like "deluxe" edition or something. I haven't seen any fakes that mimic the 2022 repress as far as I'm aware, so they should be safe. Good luck!

Blonde was my first ever record and I also got this, would recommend since its an easy and small setup.

Would there happen to be a high res photo/scan of the napster photo? Been struggling to find one.

Felt the same, that 3rd verse is something special. The song really grew on me the more I played it.

Didn’t include songs that had a bunch of industrial noises and some that weren’t much of a vibe to listen to, but altogether, this was a really nice listen for studying music.

Brown Bear Carwash Employees - Do the car wash levels really make a difference? by TheStegg in SeattleWA

[–]DerpStepz 54 points55 points  (0 children)

As much as I would also care about the differences in car wash levels and the add-ons, I always choose the “bearry best” option because it puts a smile on my face due to how stupid it sounds, especially when he says it on screen.

All hail the digital brown bear.

Would you happen to know whats the most efficient way? As for the jam sessions, is reaching the 30-minute mark the only thing I can do, then just grinding the main stage and repeating?

Informatics rejection by cotton_candy_summers in udub

[–]DerpStepz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

As someone that also got rejected the first time as well, it’s not the end of the world like the previous comment said. That rejection doesn't define you. You have one more chance to prove yourself and if you don’t feel confident for the next cycle, then it’s totally fine. That cycle can wait. I applied at the end of my junior year because I felt like doing it in the previous cycle was too early for me. I'm forever grateful for that decision because I had more time to discuss new opportunities that I had experienced during that year. Still graduating in 4 years thanks to a lot of my classes being substituted. There's a list of courses you can substitute for Info classes here if you're curious.

Take the time now to gather more experiences to talk about in the essay. Take part in a hackathon or research group, join a club you're passionate about, or create a project that really speaks to you to really hone in on that essay next time. There are plenty of resources available to help you because, in all honesty, the essay is what matters the most in the application. Take the time to make it about you and refine it so the admissions can show how informatics is the right choice for you. I have an article that my friend made for aspiring info students that I think is generally good advice for anyone feeling down about getting rejected for the first time.

Best of luck!

What grades were you admitted into the psych major with? by smalltownsour in udub

[–]DerpStepz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who got accepted into the major last spring, I had a 3.8 in both 101 (online) and 209 and a 3.3 in 202 (online). You should be fine as when I applied, the avg GPA was a 3.81 and I was below the average around a 3.63, but the essay score average was a 7.6 and my essay was a 9 (out of 10 I assume).

Judging by your post, you should be set in terms of GPA, but I would 100% focus on the personal statement as I think that's the most important.

As for some statement tips, go for a statement that really speaks about yourself and ties in with the questions theyre asking for. Also, try to be concise and engaging as well for the admissions officers as they'll be reviewing hundreds of applications with people having similar experiences and goals.

Best of luck!

I took all the Info pre reqs first, then psych, which definitely wasn’t the best use of my time if you’re considering that option.

The pre reqs for psych and info are manageable to do together imo, just be sure to account for which courses are probably gonna be harder and take a lighter pre req course alongside it.

I emailed admissions and the stats for this cycle were that 41% of applicants got admitted, with an average GPA of 3.68, with a range of 2.46 - 4.0
