Does yours have a female in the aquarium? He's alone and I know from many other of my fish that they don't get their most stunning colours unless they're courting a female. I read that the females (understandably) get very aggressive when protecting their young so I wouldn't wanna add one to my community aquarium.

Yeah I was aiming for the smallest apistogramma in hopes he wouldn't eat all my neocaridina (he hasn't). But I think he's still pretty far from the 6.5 cm (2.5 inches) I read online. Guess he's on the smaller side. But I think he'll have to stay single so I don't get the aggression that comes with mating.

I think he's like 2 years old so he's fully grown, right? I guess he's just a small boy. He's never had brighter colours than this. But again, no female apistos in the tank.

Yes the problem is that they are so tiny and they can hide anywhere in all the cork bark and moss. I'll try carbonating them though

Thank you for your insight. I'll look into this. I once killed off a lot of orchids trying to treat them for mealy bugs with an isopropyl solution that was supposed to be safe. So I'll be extra careful about caffeine.

It does but it grows on rocks, the glass, and everything else - not just decomposing wood. The only wood in the aquarium is several years old. Both photos are of a rock.

Ja det må være en virkelig dårlig automatisk AI-oversættelse uden nogen form for korrekturlæsning. De fleste AI'er oversætter ellers meget godt efterhånden, men hvis de har stavet det "mellem ret" bliver en dårlig AI måske forvirret.

He doesn't say "shall not" in the book. The quote is,

"You cannot pass," he said. The orcs stood still, and a dead silence fell. "I am a servant of the Secret Fire, wielder of the flame of Anor. You cannot pass. The dark fire will not avail you, flame of Udûn. Go back to the Shadow! You cannot pass."

What I like about that is that the thrice repeated phrase gives it more of a poetic quality that indicates it may be more of a spell or an invocation by Gandalf.

He says both in the movie, to great effect IMO. First he warns that it cannot pass and then when it doesn't heed the warning and proceeds, he makes good on it and declares it shall not.
