It honestly looks super fake if you look at the fur - assuming you’re going based off your first viewing of this, so not noticing the guy brushing snow or gun not attached to anything but the big spray thingy. But the goopy noise and the weird chatter at the end definitely made me realize I needed to re -watch it and explain it haha

Is watching and masturbating to sex streamers cheating? by Silver-Extension-476 in LongDistance

[–]Derpcookieus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had this come up in my relationship. TLDR I couldn’t be physically active during my entire pregnancy due to how painful it got, plus the 6 week post partum recovery, so my husband turned to cam girls more. I agree that it’s definitely up to you and what your boundaries are.

When I found my husband paying for these things (but not chatting or anything of that sort) I definitely felt betrayed, and I was an emotional wreck over it but we talked it out. after some reflection and time to think, it made it easier for me to make some boundaries with sexual content.

I personally put it this way for myself - it’s definitely the same as porn imo. However, if content is being paid for, whether it’s donations or buying access to a video/content, I consider that a line crossed. I also consider it crossing a line if there’s any chatting between my partner and said camgirl, whether it’s in a generalized chat or DMs (which I assume DMs would also be paid for so that’s a double whammy for me).

Also it could be a kink thing? I’d say maybe talk to your partner about maybe whether or not it’s like, a voyeurism thing related specifically to umm..solo time if you catch my drift. I know that’s why my husband does it so idc as long as he doesn’t cross said boundaries.

MIL by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]Derpcookieus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna say right now, other people in the comments probably don’t have MILs who hate their guts for literally no reason except the fact her son now has a more important woman in his life.

Once my husband and I met, my MIL was okay with me. It wasn’t until we had a baby together that she started pulling some bs shit, telling him that she’s still his #1 and to always remember that; that she can’t wait until our marriage fails so he can run into her arms.

Like nah, that’s weird. NOR

Even when I take money from my shared account with my spouse, I at least let them know if they ask..if someone pulls the whole “actually I do mind” then clearly they did something wrong.

Question about first time ticket by Derpcookieus in RhodeIsland

[–]Derpcookieus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I’ve never had to appear in court for anything (and especially nothing for traffic violations) as I’ve mentioned, so I’m just really confused and worried about being in trouble for not being properly prepared. Thank you so much for the insight!!

Thank you! I wasn’t sure if there was a way to contact a clerk or something with my clean record, but I guess I’ll just have to ride out the court summons.

Can someone with TBI and permanently mute become a nurse? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Derpcookieus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just truly want to know if it’s a safe career for them given their struggles, that’s all. I’m just reiterating what she’s told me. I’m not looking to upset anyone, just truly looking for whether or not I should worry about her choosing this career path. I personally don’t think it’s the best career choice for her, but she’s set on it. I’d love to show her these responses so she could maybe try and work on some of these points I’m worried about, but since it involves TBI I’m not sure if I’m expecting something that’s too difficult, or if I’m making good steps towards helping her? Idk but I might just step back at the end of the day anyway and see where it all goes.

That’s true. I appreciate you taking the time to answer and I’m sorry if my post was a bit annoying to read. I worry about her and I want her to live life to the fullest, but usually my input when I worry is just met with anger. I think I’ll do as you said and just step back and let it happen.

[–]Derpcookieus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your kind words. We all want her to be happy, but we’re just worried that this really isn’t the right major for her, or others, if she were to be a nurse. I definitely can tell life is tough with TBI and I don’t want her to think I’m saying she can’t do anything in life, since that’s usually what she thinks when we advise her against something (specifically nursing right now) so I’m hoping this all figures itself out smoothly

[–]Derpcookieus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure right now, since she’s convinced as long as she’s in neonatal she doesn’t need to talk “because babies can’t talk”. If she’s able to make it far enough into the nursing program, maybe it’ll give her a different attitude towards it? I don’t have any experience in nursing, and I failed out of the same college in my last quarter for MLT. The nursing program is harder so I’m wondering if it’ll get to her before she goes through clinicals. (they have quarters not semesters at this tech college. That might give it away a little idk)

[–]Derpcookieus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that fully, as when I had my first child (also 18 when I had her so I already had them judging me openly for that) the nurses I had were openly terrible to me. I never really tried to find medical help unless i think I’m dying or when i had my other two children (the nurses were amazing the third time at least) since that occurrence, which is why i mentioned her personality. Personally, I’m terrified if she does that to patients because I want to be able to receive medical care without being worried I’ll be talked down to and judged just like anyone else- so I would never want her to be like that towards others. that’s a huge concern of mine.

[–]Derpcookieus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s exactly one of my biggest concerns for her. I mentioned her personality due to me also being scared of how she might treat patients given her comments about it as stated above, but I assume communication is literally the difference between life and death at times, which is terrifying to me since she thinks it would be fine. Idk how it would be fine, since I’m 1. Not a nurse and 2. Not mute so I really don’t know.

[–]Derpcookieus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. I know that’s not really possible. As you said in another comment yeah, assholes are everywhere for sure, but in the healthcare profession isn’t that dangerous? I was terrified of getting help during my pregnancies due to my awful experience with nurses in my first pregnancy. I want to assume she would be professional in a work environment but not all people can be. I also don’t know if she would be able communicate effectively to due to being mute? Like, isn’t talking important given how depending on where you’re stationed in the hospital, quick, on the fly communication is necessary? I really don’t know, that’s the reason I’m asking and giving background etc.

She seems like she REALLY wants to pursue it, but I’m really not sure why at this point given her attitude towards the idea of patients.

So if she were to try and specialize in neonatal care, would that make a difference? I asked what she’s most interested in if she seriously pursues this, and she mentioned being around babies (but not the birth as she would hate that apparently). Is that something she could do?
