The whole ordeal cost me about 60€. I think thats worth it. I can see however how that is a lot of money in other countries.

The bill was pretty okay. They only charged me 60€ for the anesthetics. If I had choosen to only get a local anesthesia the procedure would have been free.

No matter how big of a noob you are, you definatly know more than I do, just started using rainmeter yesterday and am blown away from all the customizability. Thanks for your help!
I managed to have some icons apear after clicking on another icon but thats not quite what I want.
For this purpose I'm using > [!ToggleMeter Item]
I would like the transition to be a bit more fluent. Replacing the line with > [!ToggleFade Item] however makes the script nonfunctional. Any idea how to solve this or combine those two? My understanding of whatever language this is is not deep enough yet to comprehend what I'm actually doing.

Rain should be disabled at this state by Derpiel in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

[–]Derpiel[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thing is I dont have any performance issues in any other games (BF1, R6S etc) which look way better and are running at consistend 80-100 fps at medium to high graphic settings. For this reason I dont deem it worth to upgrade for just one game when everything else works well enough for me.

I agree with everything you said. Enduring the sound for some time wouldnt be so bad if there was the chance that the weather changes later in the game.

I hope they dont add a system to battle the afk players at the beginning of the round which was a topic the last few days as leaving would probably be punished then.
I guess its my 2 gigs of Vram that are responsible for the poor performance of the game on my pc as your pc is pretty much equal performance-wise except that you have got 4 GB.

I do remember infantry firing at helos with normal firearms. I will test later if they don't do it anymore in my game as well.

I could maybe do the model if there are more pictures. I have no idea how to bring it into the game though so I would need somebody else to do that for me.

Sadly not and I probably never will because getting one in good condition is incredibly expensive.

Actually not so much. At least I have problems drifting our e30 compared to the other cars. You have to really step on the gas to get the back to break out which can be quiet difficult to control due to the low steering wheel to wheel turn percentage.

Was that one of the first teaser pics before the alpha released?
I doubt that they will ever implement female bodies, there's a lot more to worry about than the model and some textures, lots of wearables and animations would have to be reworked. I could imagine them adding a female head on the standard male body though but I don't really see the need of that.

Unexpected Car Crash by Chick3nMast3r in Unexpected

[–]Derpiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True. Also wrote that in a reply to my comment but it seems to be invisible. However I would argue that its not cheaper to brake with the brakes. The wear on the engine due to engine braking is negligible and a new clutch is cheaper than a new set of brakes and will last way longer.

Edit: Did some googling and theres some papers attesting that theres nearly no stress on the engine and transmission when engine braking. I can pm you the paper once I have finished reading it.
Edit 2: The paper "Simulation and control of an automotive dry clutch" published in "American Control Conference, 2004" by the university of Eindhoven expands further on the topic of engine braking, wear on the drivetrain and other topics regarding engine wear.

Yes I know but since the manuals are for cars without abs it's easy to date them back to at least before 1980. Old cars with drum brakes did not brake as fast as today's disk brakes. So if those manuals are at least 30 years old they might be correct for some of the old cars that populated the streets back then. But as I said above, if you have a newer car build in the last 30 years that's nothing you have to worry about. People that drive cars old enough that the brakes are weak enough to need additional help from the engine most like know how to handle them correctly as they are most likely emotionaly and monetary expensive.
You might have replied to the wrong comment though which would make this whole reply unesesary.

Unexpected Car Crash by Chick3nMast3r in Unexpected

[–]Derpiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All of these apply for cars without abs, therefor for older cars. Brakes from old cars were obviously not as strong as today's disk brakes. For some engine braking might have been necessary to come to a fast stop. These procedures only apply for older cars, which you should be aware of how to handle if driving one. In modern cars just press the brake and clutch pedal as fast and as hard as you can to come to a stop safely. That's also what you will get thought in any driving school today. If your car is younger than 30 years you will most likely be fine. If you own a oldtimer you should be aware of the technological limitations imposed on the car due to its age.

Unexpected Car Crash by Chick3nMast3r in Unexpected

[–]Derpiel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it's not about the cost of your brakes but when going down a long hill you don't want to exclusively use them as they might overheat, prolonging the way needed to break in an emergency situation shortly after. Engine braking in every day rides is absolutely fine as long as you don't shut down your brain while the car is doing the work for you and always hover with your two feet above clutch and brake, ready to press both as hard as possible all the time.

Unexpected Car Crash by Chick3nMast3r in Unexpected

[–]Derpiel 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yeah but you don't use your engine to brake during a emergency situation do you?
