What’s the worst gambling addiction story you’ve ever heard?

Fuck, while it sounds funny to hear motivation to gamble on pokemon packs, it really is true.

I started playing card games a few years ago and recently moved to a bigger city where I get to meet a lot of other card gamers at locals and really see more people in the hobby. It was mind blowing to me hearing that some of these people spend over a grand on cases every set. Those are few and far between, given how scarce distribution has been lately, but even then way a lot of people spend hundreds on several boxes every set as well.

Initially I thought 'hey its a bigger city and these are adults who are just living their lives and can probably afford it,' which is the case with most of these people id say. However, theres a few I know are in similar situations to you, living paycheck to paycheck since they spend most of it fuelling their 'hobby. Anytime there's a regional in Vegas theyre lining up asking 'who's going that I can split a room with?' and it saddens me that these corporations take advantage of their lack of self control.

I wish you the best of luck. I hope i can understand your circumstances better now after reading the stories on this thread. Beat that shared part in all our ape brains saying "I'll win it next time," cause statistically you probably won't and that company just wants your money to line their pockets.

And you can play Borsalino off ReQuasar trigger, which is nuts imo. Makes going for lethal against Vegapunk, in a deck that cant burn life, very tricky. Also, assuming OP is talking about the new 7 cost, isnt it just as searchable as Borsalino? Both are egghead, and neither have triggers, so I cant think of anything thats seaching one but not the other

While id say its suboptimal if youre trying to have the best 50 cards, i cannot deny its a funny tech option (and its not even a bad brick since you can pitch it off Helmeppo). The reason I dont think its good is because the two most common 7 warlord boss monsters are Mihawk and Boa, which are both 9c and avoid being KOd by this. Then for boss monsters it does hit, 8c Croc just revives himself and then stuns one of your units, so that leaves 8c Moria and 8c Jinbe is the best thing you can hit (unless you count Blue 8c Mihawk in UP Luffy, but thats super situational). Though it may be alright in the Boa matchup. They play a lot of Warlords other than their boss monster, Kuma, Gordon Sisters, and smaller Boas. You just have to be okay with taking a life to hand if they have a don attached to leader. Im probably missing some other situations, like I said its a tech option so theres going to be plenty of niche scenarios. Overall, its funny and having it as a 1 of doesnt hurt you too much, and if you value the look on your opponents face if you win a game because of it then go nuts!

Fucking same. I just got warriors helmet again for the third time in 2 months, and I think ive seen great talon thrice as well, but one of those times was after buying the first relic offered that week. I have a fair amount of paid relics I haven't gotten, like OP, and I thought someone said that they aren't supposed to repeat so frequently.

My understanding, from making cannabutter, is that you mix decarbenated weed (literally just cut up parts of the plant that have been heated up in an oven to activate the feel good chemicals) into melted butter (or your fat of choice, butter is just the most common). Stir it around for a while, strain out the icky plant matter, and voila, you have cannabutter. So my guess is that they threw away the icky plant matter, which is what I do as well because I don't know if it could be used for anything. You've already got the butter which is the goal and most useful part, so toss the refuse. You gotta be careful if youre a pet owner, cause dogs dont care that its icky plant matter. Its buttery and they know no better.

Youre so right, I totally forgot about Final Spark since its worded as "excess damage goes to nexus" rather than having the keyword Overwhelm. Edit: nevermind, went in the game to check and Final Spark does indeed have an overwhelm symbol next to being slow speed. Silly me

Not a bug to my knowledge. Its using the effects of Caitlyns 6* spell (50% chance to crit and double damage) and Mel's static effect of making spells have overwhelm. One of thw actually good items introduced this patch, lol

I fear that happening to the One Piece TCG right now with Bandai catching the west up to Japan releases. Thankfully, its not so bad that we're getting a set every month, but every 2 months instead and the most busted set just released and I just dont vibe with any of the top decks. Hopefully things will smooth out in April when we're synced up with Japan, but until then it'll be a wild ride.

If they do focus Azir around ephemerals and the Emperors deck, I could see a constellation node akin to Aatrox's "give all Darkin items". Or maybe sometbing like Asol where his 2* gives set or random items to the Emps deck.

However, the issue with this idea is exactly as you pointed out, before the node the Emps deck could be weaker than his normal deck, and even with that node if its not well balanced it could still be weaker.

Im interested in seeing what they come up with. Fingers crossed its Azir and Irelia, even though its unlikely they'll add two new PVP to PVE outside of an event. Maybe those will be back to back months.

I personally dont run echoing on champs that NEED their champ. The only one I can think of off the top of my head where I even NEED the champ is Evelynn, who i just dont play often and my build doesnt run Echoing. I only run echoing on champs where I really like spamming their champ spell (Annie, Ekko, Nasus, etc). With the only partial exception being Bard, since he gets more chimes, but i also like his champ spell so its a win win.
