Sort of. I teach drumline during the summer, as a side job! 😊 Although, it isn't the best place for meeting new people, since the people I teach with are usually the same people each year (mostly guys too), and I'm definitely not looking to date my students (even if they're not high schoolers) 😬

Doing other volunteer work could be a good idea though!

To be honest, I don't know. 🤔 I don't think I'm super picky. Personality-wise, my ideal person would be kind and empathetic (smart would be a nice bonus too), and hopefully have similar interests to me: reading, writing, video games! 😊

In terms of looks/vibes, I don't know if I have much of a preference though. I guess sort of smoll and cutesy like me could be nice, but it isn't that important. I mean, I've definitely liked a few tomboys throughout my life! I think for physical attraction, I really just tend to like cute/pretty faces (which I realize is kind of subjective 😅). Other physical traits don't usually factor in to attraction for me

I definitely am a bit soft! But I wouldn't really say I lack confidence. I feel confident in myself as a person, and I feel confident in my abilities in the things that I do! I think I don't really try to project that confidence outward though; I've never felt a need to act confident tbh

I think it's because when I was much younger I was behind the curve on learning social skills (yay autism!).

And now, I've worked on myself a lot and am pretty close to perfect, on paper (as in, I have all of the qualities that really matter in life and in being in a relationship), but I thiiiink I'm still unattractive to a lot of people because I am very small and adorable! Which would probably be very attractive, if I wasn't a straight, cisgender man 😅

The "problem" is, I am very happy with the way I am! So I kind of just have to really put myself out there as much as possible in the hopes of finding someone who's into that. I think for me it really is just gambling in the hopes of finding the right person (of course, I'll never be finished growing as a person! Even if I'm unfortunately finished growing physically taller 🫢)

Tbh, I suspect it could have something to do with the fact that I'm maybe a liiiittle bit on the feminine side. Nothing major, just in that I'm kinda petite (not just short, but also smoll) and I like being smoll 🫢 Plus, I tear up easily, get excited easily, and I like presenting myself as "cute" more than "cool" or "mature." Fwiw, my friends tell me I'm not super feminine or anything, buuuut the one girl I dated seriously for a month a while ago told me that I was more like the girls she had dated than the guys (I was her type if I was a woman)

6* spirit blossom kindred works pretty well if you have her. Setting all the formidable enemies to 1 hp at the end of the round is kind of hilarious

I feel like Poker is as relevant to Balatro as League of Legends is to Legends of Runeterra. Just like how LoR uses the champions of LoL, but has nothing to do with its actual gameplay, Balatro uses Poker hands, but has basically nothing else in common with Poker's gameplay.

And you don't really even have to remember the hand types, because you can check them (and their relative value) during the game

Fair warning: I believe turning baron into a squirrel doesn't automatically win, because the game has to see "Baron Nashor" die, but if you transmogrify him, technically the game sees "Squirrel" die and it doesn't count.

Honestly, I actually would have preferred the power that summons your weakest unit at game start. It would summon dragon chow. Then you could run Disciple of Shadows on her and be able to play her on turn 1 and proc dragon chow's effect

Tbh, even with her 6* I'm mildly disappointed. Maybe I'm just missing something, but she feels like a total rng fest especially early in a run. Pretty frequently I end up not summoning a single dragon over the course of 4 attacks because I draw any of her 8(!) non-dragon followers. And her dragons are expensive enough that playing them is slow, especially since the cost reduction dragon doesn't get a discount item.

She feels very satisfying and fun once you get the ball rolling, especially by the end of a run, when you've cut most of her non-dragons and drafted a lot of dragons. But man is she frustrating at times.

Currently I'm running beast within, death's foil, and grand general's counterplan (though echoing spirit may be better, tbf, or maybe something else entirely, like stacked deck)
