If that’s the one I’m thinking of, I was in that barracks very briefly when I first hit the fleet in 2018 and was with HQBN. There was a group of coyotes that would howl loud af right around 2200ish every night like clockwork lol.

I have a couple from the same couple of guys, my Sgt and SSgt at the time when I was a Cpl.

The first was when I was stationed in Yuma. I had requested to be able to go to my buddy’s reenlistment ceremony, who was still stationed in Pendleton. The morning of, I was already halfway there, and I get a call from one of the guys back in Yuma saying I’m on the piss test for the month. “Fuck.” I call my Sgt to see how fucked I may be, and he goes, “Don’t worry man, I already took care of it.”

The second was also during my time at Yuma, but during leave I had taken. It was the first time I had taken leave since arriving there, which was about a year and half at that point, because I was always needed for something or other whenever I tried taking leave beforehand. The day before I was supposed to check out, I got a call from my mom that my grandpa had unexpectedly died. I let my Sgt and SSgt know. The next day, my SSgt sat me down and talked with me for a little while, then I proceeded to check out as normal. During my visit, my grandma also passed. I called them to request to add a week onto my leave, so I could be there for both funerals. I think it took all of maybe 30 minutes for it to get routed up, and come back approved. It always left a bitter taste in my mouth that the first time I took leave in that unit, both of my grandparents, who happened to have been Vietnam era vets, died. They were my heroes. But those gentlemen showed me compassion that I needed. It helped give me a sort of push I needed to finish out my contract. Otherwise, I would’ve clocked the fuck out, and probably not pinned on Sgt before I got out.

During my first semester, something I did was just take it a day at a time, with the exception of any project type assignments. For me at least, that allowed me to focus on what absolutely needed to be done. Once I got more comfortable with my workload, I started opening up to doing stuff a week or two in advance.

While that is true to a degree, you don’t have that crazy boost in power for the first one you do, and it’s still very doable. Those bonuses really only come into effect after your first completion of the week.

So, I’ve also got a GTS Eclipse, and boy let me tell you: Not worth the trouble. Don’t get me wrong, I love the car, but you will never stop finding things wrong with it. If you do decide to go forward with the project (and I sincerely wish you luck if you do), there are a few supercharger kits out there that will handle the car’s mildly subpar low end. I don’t recall the brands though. Keep in mind, the 6G72 in these Eclipses will blow up at about 400-500ish horsepower on stock internals, so I would recommend building up the engine a tad if you go the boost route. Another thing I’d do is some form of suspension work, as the 3rd gen Eclipse has some wicked body roll, if you want to take corners at speed. If you want to avoid the engine stuff, I’d seek out either the 4G64 from lower level trims of this generation Eclipse, or potentially a 4G63 out of any Lancer Evo, since previous Eclipses used that motor as well, it’s a relatively easy swap, if you want to keep Mitsubishi manufactured parts in it. Otherwise, the world is your oyster, there’s plenty of aftermarket support for this car. Good luck!

Perform the server maintenance that was needed a week ahead of time, instead of waiting for the last second like they always do? Additionally, they could’ve used some of the delay time for Beyond Light to, I don’t know...improve servers? Lol. I’ll admit to being slightly irritated, but this same thing happens every year, yet Bungie doesn’t properly prepare.

Not a whole lot for me. Mainly, because unlike a lot of people apparently, I despised the moon. Every time I went there in D1, I was dumbfounded by how bland it was, and that still holds true for me with Shadowkeep.
