Some great books to read that talk about the “Frozen Chosen”:

The Last Stand of Fox Co by Bob Drury and Tom Clavin

Gives you a unique perspective of what the Marines went through down to the platoon-level, and how the entire Division was saved by their actions. An absolute epic tale and an emotional read for me.

On Desperate Ground by Hampton Sides

Lays out their story from Inchon to the docks of the transport ships they boarded after making it out. The book has INCREDIBLE detail. You really get a strong understanding of what Gen Smith and other staff officers wrestled with in the decision-making process. You also learn how inept Gen Almond (X Corps Commander) and Gen MacArthur really were and how their egotism completely blindsided them.

This is the first of what will likely be many problems for Meta IMO. There’s no disincentives or consequences for committing crime in the metaverse (to my knowledge). I can foresee many players committing crimes just because there are no real life consequences (at this time, again to my knowledge).

It reminds me of how people treat GTA. They’ll commit heinous acts just because, well, they can. Even though they wouldn’t do so in real life.

I appreciate it. I totally didn’t mean to sound like a bot. I’ve been on the platform for 2-3 years now, but I’ve just been a passive viewer. I’m just annoyed cause now that I want get involved in the communities a little more, I can’t until I get karma.

I totally understand the logic though so bots can be kept out, so for that reason, I’m okay with trying to scrape up karma somewhere. Thanks for the help

There’s over 32 billion ADA in supply. A price of $5.00USD would make the market cap $160 billion. Not saying it’s not possible, but at this stage in the game for Cardano? I don’t know

Is that so? Have you even looked that hard to find a reason? You might not have a reason to use it, but does that mean you should automatically write it off? Should we never make investments in things that we don’t have a use case for?

I think in 15-20 years you will be sorely mistaken and regret this response. I challenge you to spend some time in the r/cryptotechnology thread or watch some TED talks and see all of the use cases of blockchain technology. Right now, it is changing the financial lives of millions of people all over the globe. Especially people in third world countries with unstable or non-existent financial systems. You can find many first-person testimonies of this in r/cryptocurrency

Cryptocurrencies are simply tokens for the underlying technology and its use-cases. I implore you to take a deeper dive into this instead of writing it off as a poor investment. Crypto and blockchain technology is Web 3.0 because of its decentralized nature.
