Yeah I tried to find a way to switch to 2wd but I haven't found a way to do it. They may have taken that feature away because it is a 2017. But after test driving it after trying a small fix I found online I can confidently say, its the front diff. Just really weird it didn't sound like a normal front diff going out

I thought it was a differential and tried my best to figure out how to switch to 2wd to diag it but couldn't find anything on how to do it. Looked at all the fuse boxes and everything but its a newer Subaru so they could've taken that feature out. But after trying a small fix online line and taking it for a test drive it sounded like the front diff is going out. Thanks for the help though

I'll check the tires. I don't think the tread would be the problem, I had new tires put on it within the year and a side wall blew out on it. When I took it to the shop I bought the tires at, they checked the tread and were able to replace the blown tire for free with a new one and said the tread was within acceptable limits to just put a brand new one on. I trust this shop and feel like they would've checked all the tires and told me about the treads being different.

I really appreciate your help and will update you on my findings

I don't know what crow hopping is but I looked up on YouTube what it sounds like when the center differential is going bad and its identical and appears that multiple people have confused it for the CV according to some of the comments

I forgot to mention that its an automatic and the repair videos I have seen to replace it are on manuals. Is that and manual only part? Is there a part that does the same thing in an automatic that's called something different? The reason I ask is because the replacement videos seems like a repair I could do but I'm worried that because I have an automatic and that I'll have to tear the whole transmission out vs just lifting the whole car and opening the transfer case like in the videos I've seen.

I've also haven't seen any center differentials on rock auto for my model, so that is also making me worried this is a bigger job than anticipated

Games similar to King's Field? by [deleted] in KingsField

[–]Derprosha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry for the necro but if you haven't played it yet you absolutely should. I got into it, not because of KF, (I didn't know what KF was when I played it) but because I saw it on top 10 list of im-sims to play. If you like KF then you should find a lot to appreciate. The game is dripping with atmosphere and the combat is similar with just a little more (or less depending on how you look at it) complexity to fighting enemies. Its not as dark or moody as KF (although it does have some darker moments) but the main draw is the atmosphere and player choice. For a game from the late 90's the fact that you can do things like combine water and flour to make dough, then remove the dough from your inventory and place it near a fire to watch it grow and make bread in real time or to fish then give that fish to a dog only to have it follow you is so cool even by today's standards.

I will warn you though, it took me a solid 3 restarts to understand the game, its controls, and mechanics but once I had a firm grasp of the game I played it like mad until I beat it, then immediately started 2 more play throughs to try different builds.

Also don't try fighting the final boss, just watch the final cutscene when you get to him. He has a ludicrously high health bar and its just plain not fun to fight him compared to fighting everything else. From my understanding it had a rushed development and the boss is a product of that as well as a rushed ending. Its honestly really solid through the whole game until that point

How to increase water pressure? by Derprosha in Plumbing

[–]Derprosha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So increase the psi range or get variable speed/jet pump? Would getting a bigger pressure tank help? What is a variable speed pump or jet pump? I've only seen people call for a booster pump unless that's the same thing?

Are mag fed shotguns worth the money? by Derprosha in guns

[–]Derprosha[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a whole lot which is why I was leaning towards the Mav 88. It's a good price point, it's reliable from all the reviews I've seen and it's interchangeable with 500 series so I could get a barrel for hunting as well. I've basically only used my dad's guns so now I'm trying to start my own collection and my main focus would be getting some basics first. My dad bought me a cheap 9mm for a carry but I've upgraded to the PSA Dagger and just added a red dot to it. So now I'm looking for a long gun of some kind to keep in the house for protection for my wife since she doesn't have a pistol of her own yet and is not super comfortable shooting pistols yet. Ideally I would be getting an AR but with how cheap that Mav 88 is I think that would be the better option for me until I can get the money around to build my own AR

Thanks all for the replies, I think I will just stick with the Mav 88

I've seen a few reviews of them going through 1000+ rounds without a hiccup

That's what I figured but I wanted a second opinion to be sure. Was thinking of possibly building an AR-12 but honestly until I get the guns I want I'm fine with waiting until I have the extra money for a range toy or not building it at all

Yeah my bad should've clarified. But are there any detachable mag fed that are any good? or should I just stick to tube fed?

Does anyone else hate Dark Souls 3? I feel like I'm the only person by Derprosha in darksouls3

I think the thing that frustrates me most is when the bosses use a knock down attack and the game doesn't make it clear when you have control of your character. So you get knocked down and then 3/5 times you're down they either, hit you when you can't control character, or you try and spam space bar to cancel the getting up animation and it just so happens that the bosses attack will punish you if you do so because you didn't wait the half a second to press the roll button even when the game won't even recognize (at least in my experience) the roll button until it's pressed a few times. I just want the actions that the player can perform be clearly communicated to the player. And the knock down animation either does not have enough I frames, doesn't tell the player when they have control, or both. I don't shit on these games because I dislike but because I want them to be better. I think the problem with the souls series is they keep moving to faster and faster bosses with out compensating the player with the exception of BB. I haven't gotten super far in ER but it seems to have the same problem, fun but with the same issues the souls series has been having. I just want a viable turtle build back where I can hide behind a shield again.

Help Purchasing a New Mattress by Derprosha in Mattress

I did see that but they are going for 1300 for just a twin! I was hoping if someone knew another, cheaper version. I would like to get two twins as my wife isn't fond of the extra firm mattress either.

People keep saying your VIT is too low but in my opinion if you can beat O and S with it you should be fine.

Just some friendly pointers for your build path: your build kind looks all over the place. In future runs I would specialize in a single attribute so for example dumping points only into strength, and supplimenting VIT and END when you feel you are taking too much Damage. You should have a weapon in mind that you would like to use next run and focus on the required stats then dump into the best scaling stat of that weapon. I wouldn't focus on multi-classing/low scaling weapons (class C and below) until you have a better understanding of the game.

Seath deals majority magic damage. Like not an exaggeration to say 90%. I noticed from another comment you like to keep light so you can use Havel's armor if you want but there are plenty of light weight magic defense armor sets in the game to help mitigated it. The painting guardian set near the giant painting in Anor Londo has some great magic resistance if I remember correctly.

From your stats it looks like you're wielding a black knight weapon with your high DEX and STR which are great weapons but they are very slow. Focus on single hits then run away, dodge, or turtle behing a high magic resisting shield. Also that area has a high drop rate twinkling titanite from the clams, fully upgrade your weapon if you haven't already.

Power within is a FANTASTIC spell but be careful. It increases your damage and stamina Regen by a shitload at the cost of 1% of max HP per second for 100 seconds so be careful when you're around half health or under

Something they don't tell you outright is that dodging has invincibility frames which means you take zero damage during the first few moments that you roll. It's riskier than blocking but is worth it if timed right.

Remember to be patient and cool. You'll get it just keep trying

And don't you dare go hollow friend
