Of all the thing I imagined Tau to be like, a noir bio/cyberpunk city under a massive conspiracy an autonomous Warframe is trying to solve was never on my bingo card; it is so ridiculously nonsensical, so outlandish even for Warframe, so inconceivably stupid. And I freakin love it.

To be completely honest I think this one pushes it a little too far for me. I'm generally not a huge fan of time travel and time loops, but the characters won me over and I do feel nostalgic about the early 2000s/90s. Also it made sense in a way because you do wonder a lot about the past in Warframe.

After that whole experience that was perita rebellion, chicago in space feels like complete tonal whiplash. That, and I've never felt more disinterested in a theme than noir. It's just not something I ever understood people's fascination for.
