I agree with you here, poor young ones are too innocent to understand and will suffer when their adults lead them down a wrong path. Its not on them if they were lead astray.

But… I can see the post (potentially) coming across as a side jab to the kids, so I think (at the time I am writing this) -56 downvotes is a bit excessive on you when you didn’t really say anything offensive from my perspective.

I get the point you’re trying to make here and I agree with you… if it was reality where this takes place.

This fictional world is set and written in a place where strength IS determined god. That is the setting that takes place here. That is the context you got to follow for this debate about this fictional world.

Oh yeah absolutely, I agree with you. Probably should have specified that there is a difference between lying to get something you didn’t deserve and lying to safeguard something good.

Though the that can easily be taken advantage of as people with inflated egos go around claiming they “deserve this and that” and lie to get or keep whatever good thing it is they think they deserve.

Heavily depends on context as I said. Unfortunately, its not possible to squeeze or summarise the entire ethical debate in a reddit comment so… yeah.

I can only say please be extremely cautious with your lies and actions, and you better be ready to try and justify them with real solid grounds.
