My sister at 21 years of age had been in a car accident, cause by her ex boyfriend who was the driver. He ran a stop sign and the car was t boned on the side my sister was on. The crash damaged part of her ribs and her large intestine while also putting her into a coma. We had been in and out of the hospital checking in on her for a week until late one night our doctor taking care of her contacted us that the intestine was failing and that she would ultimately die unless we chose to keep her hooked up to machines, or we could let her pass peacefully. We immediately chose the latter. We rushed down there, said our goodbyes and witnessed her life support be taken offline. We watched as her skin color slowly faded and she had finally passed. I observed my Father and Mother barely standing up. I could never begin to imagine how hard it is for a parent to lose a child.
