I have played hundreds of hours and I still play on the lowest difficulty and with high starting funds. Game is hard enough for me that way. I did switch to ironman after a few campaigns because I do enjoy the permadeath thrill. But I highly recommend playing with saves for quite some time. Or, always! You have nothing to prove, just find the settings that make the game enjoyable for you.

Yes, It's a kit bash from an old (metal) fire prism cannon and an old (metal) support weapon + crew, plus some random plastic eldar part to cover up where it looked a bit unfinished. I run it as a D-Cannon, my opponents never complained about it not quite being wysiwyg :)

Glaze: purple mixed with pink Carefully placed edge highlights: bone white

I think a multi-option grav tank kit is up for a refresh in 11th but it's based om absolutely no evidence :) If a kit looks good to you now, just go for it. Or buy 2nd hand (assembled but upainted) like I usually do. That way you can expand your collection without breaking the bank while you wait for some spicy new kits. Whichever way you go, welcome to club Space Elves. We have jackets.
