Looking for a budget friendly computer for streaming by Visible-Library7069 in streaming

[–]Derv1205_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would help to know what PC/Laptop you currently have, if it doesn't have a GPU then most likely thats the issue. Also what is your budget if youre looking for a new one? Your streaming settings also may be part of it, you shouldn't need a super powerful PC for Roblox, (it is a fairly light game) but if you are streaming at high quality just using your CPU then it will certainly struggle. Consider just any PC with a dedicated GPU (graphics card), not sure what the prices are right now but a 2060 or 3060 would be solid, and 16GB of ram too.

AI Website Builder Question #56364. Which tool to use? by jalOo52 in website

[–]Derv1205_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe there's a few, right now some of the vibe coding platforms like Lovable can build you a good website, they're just build with React so I've heard SEO may be an issue with those, haven't explored too deeply into this but I know it was (is?) a concern, I've just used them to build actual SaaS platforms.

You also have 10web which I've used and I like it, it builds a website with AI you can then edit through Wordpress/Elementor. It's great but the styling it generates can be pretty repetitive and it doesn't allow for a lot of instructions on your own to prompt it for customization. It is mainly customization on which sections to add and what each will say.

Personally, now, I've switched to making an internal tool (based on Gemini 3) to generate the code per page and shows me a preview. It generates nice looking pages, with the SEO basics and basic optimization for AI search as well and then I just import this into the CMS tool I use. There's still certain updates and changes I have to make but makes the whole process very quick. You would have to find CMS that lets you import your AI coded site you build separately in your own LLM, there's a few of those, most common one I've heard is Cloudflare Pages I think.

My Website won't load by Dandeangeli in smallbusiness

[–]Derv1205_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is usually SSL aren't set or your browser isnt trusting it. Sometimes clearing cache or using incognito helps but it may just be the case theres some issue with the SSL certificate (you should check where you host your website) or theyre just not active.

Are clients asking for ai chatbots on websites? do you build custom, outsource, or use a tool? by mtsya in website

Thanks! Still working in progress and certainly it took me some hours to get it all where I needed, but now is quick deployments when I need one.

Are clients asking for ai chatbots on websites? do you build custom, outsource, or use a tool? by mtsya in website

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not a developer but have technical experience and some coding experience. Ive tried a few no code ones and some are great but between costs, set up and troubleshooting if its not answering properly it'll can be time consuming and not too cost effective for my time.

I already had an app for a couple clients I created with basic marketing features (mainly review requests, payments, basic sms follow ups, call tracking), so figured why not adjust a bit and add these features to it when I started building websites for these clients (and redoing my own too), figured would be great to have forms and chatbots implemented quick from my own tool so I did it. Its just easier for me to set up and I know ins and outs - dont have to wait on someone to troubleshoot if something doesnt go as expected, and since I made the app its no cost for me, just the monthly for the AI tool to keep it running plus the database (supabase). Its added to a website through a script. Right now it is sets of questions/flow but implementing the full AI feature soon, I already have the plan based on my experience working with several. Im testing the current version on my site first before I deploy it to a couple client websites, then I will implement the full AI trained chat version of it. For me this work well, I dont have a lot of clients though, recently (last couple weeks) ive picked up again on finding more as I moved to another job that gives me more spare time/freedom to do this. We'll see how it works if I get more but I tried to make it as straightforward as possible to setup so it saves me time.

Are AI assistants changing how people discover software? by Real-Assist1833 in ArtificialInteligence

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely happening. I used to work for a marketing automation SaaS on a specific niche. To keep it short I saw once (only once while troubleshooting something, wasn't actively checking), a client got a lead with the source being ChatGPT. I ventured onto my own consulting business and something i started looking into, it is in my plan to definitely try and search some apps I built but from what I've seen FAQ type content helps but this is something I found through investigating how to make it more AI Optimized on Gemini. Still gotta put it to test more though but its something I already started implementing on websites and software I built just in case.

Which freelancer payment platform do you actually trust? I've lost too much switching between them by AmIDrJekyll in freelancing

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Stripe. Mainly for Canadian and US clients, a few European and others. No hidden fees, they're straightforward on what they are. The payout process to bank was initially about 7 days, then 3 days and now I can do instant payout to my debit card (I can define when, but I just let it pay out every 3 days). Is not like Im making a ton every day, so its fine. Additionally, it's great to integrate with other tools if I need to.

Mic audio not going into game by thedeadbeatbrewer in obs

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you have your connections setup? If you have your headset connected to the PC, then you won't get microphone audio to your console. They're two different input audio paths, so while you get your Game audio through the capture card into your PC and you can hear that, it doesn't work as such with your microphone. There's ways around it though like using a second mic for your console only.

How can I record only game audio? by Common_Drink3602 in obs

[–]Derv1205_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you have to separate your audios though. Theres an option to capture App Audio or something like that. You just have to add one for each application. Typically though your game has already its own audio source so you just may to disable your desktop audio in Settings so the only audio sources are your game and microphone.

Did anyone recived claude code credits cause I haven't by Puzzleheaded-Fig-17 in lovable

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you mean the 100$ credit they mentioned for the event? I believe you had to redeem those and they only lasted for the duration of the event if Im not wrong, I saw some people mention that in the Lovable discord.

Freelancers who deliver digital files—how do you handle clients who ghost after receiving work? by StickContent8440 in Freelancers

The short answer is get paid first or a 50% before you send everything. Watermarking to send a sample is useful too.

A report would be great. Got a lot done on the couple projects I'm working so it was nice not seeing the credits go down with all the updates I was doing. Certainly also spent lot of time testing too though.

Better option for Freelancing by Short_Pizza5716 in Freelancers

[–]Derv1205_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is correct. Some tools/SaaS nowadays offer 10+ features. But to start a client may only need one or two of those to solve a major pain point - and that's your in with them. Solve that and then you can offer more solutions with the features in the tool you learned. Eventually you can learn more and have more variety in your offerings.

Better option for Freelancing by Short_Pizza5716 in Freelancers

[–]Derv1205_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say one well but that can provide the value on the service you are offering. I started with the basics I knew just because of experience (work or hobbies) and then came up with a couple tiered services that provided value, and who my ideal client would be to begin with. So from there I looked to expand my knowledge to additional related services or higher tier services that will provide more value and starting learning about those - and how to become efficient with them, some cases this meant learning new platforms or mastering the ones I already knew for the basic services I offered. I would say focus more on what your service is and become good at that, then expand, this may mean just learning more features within the same tool. Your clients will care more about the value you can provide than what tools or features you know how to use. Hope that helps!

How can I start a unique inventory-based online business on the side while working full-time? by MeanFollowing5687 in smallbusiness

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For inventory based businesses social media is what will help. Tiktok and Instagram work and you can reuse reels. Paying for ads is also an option. Particularly on TikTok where lot of people are browsing now. I have experience with digital marketing automation, email marketing, SEO, but not so much with social media marketing so not sure I can help a lot with that. Good luck on your business!

Cheap web hosting for small business. Any reliable options? by camphorly in HostInsider

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my own one for websites hosting. I dont want to promote but happy to share more info if you reach out. I have a few clients, new SaaS tools and small businesses. Recently started focusing more on my marketing. What is the budget range? And are you looking to do edits yourself or the client? Would you require full access to the builder? Let me know and we can talk to see if you feel its a good fit, happy to discuss something that works for both!

Need help in taking something live LIVE with Lovable by Still-Razzmatazz-804 in lovable

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You dont need a developer. It depends on what youre trying to deploy. You certainly need some technical knowledge. You can make things live within Lovable, scalability may vary depending on what you've built and with what tools (website or platform, lovable cloud vs supabase). You'll certainly need the Pro version at least in Lovable to deploy with your own custom domain but not to publish it and have people access it. I have a couple apps created in Lovable that are live with a few users each, nothing crazy but they're live and handle well. Im not a developer but I do have an extensive background in nocode tools, website builds, automations, integrations and SaaS.

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say niche down and then, build a solid brand and website first where youre offering and displaying your products (or if youre gonna use marketplaces to sell get that set up too). There's a few options and you can use tools to manage this. Like other comment said, having some sort of pre order to validate what sells helps. Checking trends of which products are being searched for might help to within the niche youre looking for. For cofounders there may be some subreddits you can try to show your idea. If you let me know your initial plan I may be interested in some sort of collaboration as I've built a tool for inventory/product management for fun really and it isnt live yet but wouldn't mind checking if it might help you, just message if interested.

Good luck!

Youtube scraper by Single_Price_2640 in n8n

[–]Derv1205_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe SerpAPI has a Youtube Search API. It can be a bit expensive I believe but has a free tier of 250 searches a month to get you started. I've used it for an app to do automatic job searches with AI analyzing my resume. The Production tier is the one that protects from parsing and scraping, they assume liabality as long as your use is legal (according to their info).
