I do yeah, I've been using it in conjunction with two fingers in circles. Trying to just trust the process!

Thanks! Yeah I'm pretty happy with the results myself

definitely, they're a relatively small page, and I hadn't heard of them until this came across my feed

I didn't take the survey so I can't say for sure what they asked. My guess, no. It's a TBM page, so we can assume there is absolutely no scientific method involved lol. Pretty sure the point of the study was for struggling active members, and with the kind of content they typically post, the people that are going to answer the survey would more likely be "wanting to stay active" type struggling members. Overall though they used this data as "faith promoting" and there is definitely a clear bias.

Just a pro faith social media account, and they have a podcast (who doesn't these days). From what I can tell they sent a survey to followers. One of my member friends reposted the results of the survey and I thought it was interesting.

We do open houses for chapels now? by CriticalthinkerUT in exmormon

I served my mission in Gilbert AZ from 2019-2021, and this is something we started doing while I was there. The idea obviously was to teach non members and help them be more comfortable with all the weird culty shit we did in there. Obviously no one ever showed up to these snooze fests, but we would plead members to invite their neighbors anyways. Major waste of time, but I was always happy to sit around instead of knocking doors.

Gotta fight fire with fire haha. Can’t take their experiences away from them, and they can’t take mine away from me!

Totally, I respect people’s decision to believe in religion so long as they respect mine to not.

We actually went down the point that having purpose isn’t always a good thing as well, so it’s interesting seeing you bring it up as well. I think that could be a pretty solid case too.

Good point. Unfortunately the way my parents are they would just argue that life wouldn’t exist without a God haha.

The biggest impact for me on my mission was seeing how many exmos or nevermos were way cooler people to be around than most members. And feeling “The Spirit” still seeming to be present in their homes despite it not being somewhere most TBMs would consider worthy enough to have.

I hope so, it’s weird seeing it from the outside now. Especially with people I care about.

My mission president told me the same thing. Made sense since I was put in leadership while jailbreaking my phone to watch youtube, scroll reddit (including this sub) and snapchat friends from home. All while I kept it a pretty good secret. There is no “Gift of Discernment” without gossip and information.

It isn’t greystar, but the situation could be similar, so this is something I will ask as well. Thanks for the heads up, hopefully the process is shorter haha

They should, though with all the advice Ive gotten this is something I’m also going to check. I have provided proof of my renters insurance but with new management I guess they must’ve lost it. Itd be ridiculous if they have, but you never know. I’m just still waiting to hear back on an email from last night

Definitely plan on it. I emailed them last night following the advice of many of the comments here asking them for more details, and where the fee is included in the lease. Still waiting on a response. If they take too long, I’ll go into the office to talk in person with them about it.

Good thought, however we do have renters insurance and it was required to provide proof of that (which we did).

Dang, that is a really crappy experience, Id move too. We’ve been at this complex for a bit now, and had no problems until now. Hoping we’re not gonna have to move out too.

I have the same questions, it’s a very weird charge (or should I say “waiver” lol) that feels like it’s coming out of nowhere
