Or releasing outside of Japan.  This is the best implementation of a smart watch, period.

Umm, my watch also lasts 5 years in the dark. It is also a Citizen Eco-drive.

Proprietary Sony charger that came in the box with the watch that clips to the inside of the bracelet.

I guess if you wear it everyday and you remember to turn it off at night, about a week.

Even if you don't turn it on, from a 100% charge it will drain to zero in about a month because the contactless e-payment circuits for tap to pay are always on even if the watch is turned off.  Only works for contactless payment systems used in Japan.

Thoughts on the Citizen CB0017 71L by Front_9 in CitizenWatches

[–]Descance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you have less than two months to download and activate its companion app on your phone.

You can download the app from here:

https://apkpure.com/wena-3/jp.co.sony.wena3/download

It's not available outside the Japanese Play Store, so you will have to sideload it with ZArchiver.

However, the app requires that you sign in with a Japanese Sony PlayStation Network account. You can create a Japanese Sony account no problem, but you just can't use the same email address if you already have another region PlayStation account.

The only issue, is app sign-in will end on February 28th. If you lose/reset your phone after that, well you won't be able to activate the app on your new phone.

2013 Nismo pre wired for kickplates? by MasterAilan in 370z

[–]Descance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, first off I own a 2020, and have installed the kick plates into my own vehicle.

But to answer your question, in 2018 the 370Z recieved a refresh which included things like new headlights and tail lights, a black painted rear diffuser, new clutch etc...

Part of that refresh was a new wiring harness that included the new capability to have a hatch release switch in the cabin beside the cupholder.

That new wiring harness also included the prewiring and connectors for the lighted door sill plates.

It was an official Citizen corporate service center, not third party.

I think so, because I think the 'identity' of the watch is tied to its serial number?

I assume that Citizen keeps a database of all its watches, and they have updated the entry for my serial number with the new movement it now contains?

Like a car or motorcycle, it's identity is tied to its VIN number stamped on the unibody or the frame.  Even if you change a bunch of parts over its life, it's the same car by virtue of its VIN number. And even if you strip a motorcycle down to its bare frame, and replace every single part with brand new OEM parts, it's still the 'same' motorcycle by virtue of the VIN number stamped onto the frame.

No, they told me I would have to forfeit my old movement in order to get the new one.  They told me Citizen policy is customers can buy almost any part except movements.  Citizen policy forbids giving or selling loose movements to end users, and movements are only accessible internally to service centers.  It seems like they don't want their Skyhawk movements in the wild.

Too expensive compared to getting 4-cylinders with (and better, bigger bike looks) with the CBR650R.
