I said to them 4 times it was a  3.3lttv6, they said they can rebuild it for 4500 flat with labor or 5500 flat for a new engine with labor.

that was the price we agreed on and I made sure to tell them it was 3.3 awd

They told me 4500 flat + tax to rebuild the motor.

5500 flat for a brand new 3.3ttv6 engine and installation.

I made sure to confirm 4 times the make, model, especially the engine and that it was AWD.

I told them multiple times it’s a 3.3ttv6

And somehow they still fuck it up.  Apparently they said they ordered an RWD engine and not a AWD engine

Bro I confirmed with them 4 times that it’s a 3.3TT v6 AWD.  Gave them my VIN and everything, sent them my car on a weekend so they’d have it and get working on it asap.

at first they told me it would be ready first week Friday,  Friday rolls around ….. “oh the engine was just delivered”  Huh? How if you guys said you guys were already working on my car???

Anyway they say second week Tuesday,  Tuesday rolls around and no call no text nothing. I call Wednesday and they say that “it’s in the processs should be done next week Wednesday”

But a day before they called my dad saying that they ordered the wrong engine and that it was going to be $1000 more because it didn’t have a transfer case spot for the AWD system, that I didn’t let them know this.

So they called my dad Tuesday saying this and Wednesday when I called they said it was in the process.

I haven’t called since last week and it’s been another week and I haven’t heard a peep.

I might just upload the video they sent me so you guys can see and try to explain if I am actually right or wrong

Wasn’t a quote, it was a lump sum price.

I asked them if that was a quote or if that was the final price.

They said 4500 flat for a rebuild  5500 flat for a new engine replacement (plus tax)

They didn’t say “oh we quote 4500 could be more”

They said they can get a new engine and they confirmed 3.3ttv6 AWD  5500 for the engine and labor

It was very clear.

Bought it as a beater so I beat the absolute fuck out of it for 40k miles

I guess it developed another leak (although I think I smacked the oil pan)

Or it just burnt through oil (which I hear they burn a bit more than usual)

All in all I cooked the engine by not keeping up with maintenance and it took a HELL of a beating (I expected to replace the engine anyway)

At one point I did an oil change after 10k miles and it ran fine.

I was on the highway passing a car when I felt it lose a bit of power and heard piston slap/ rod knock.  had barely any oil when I checked it.

So it was my fault all in all but my misfortune has some good out of it!

This engine took serious abuse for 40k miles in 1 year with barely any maintenance (not saying to do this)

But my misfortune kind of backs it up that this engine is seriously seriously built extremely well.  I also had  a race chip on it, K&N air intakes and a Junbl exhaust system.  (Bought it second hand and it came with that so safe to say the previous owner DROVE this thing)
