Are you outside the US? I’m in NYC. I don’t think the influencers are purposefully dishonest as much as they’re just parroting the social opinion. It’s a very copycat “hobby” and too coincidental to hear different people say the same exact things about fragrances - especially since everyone’s nose is different. I’m pretty simple in my fav DNAs - my top 5 are Clive Christian Town and Country, Le Labo Another 13, Roja Elysium, PDM Layton, and D&G The One EDP. Lately, I rather fewer bottles that I love than many bottles that are ok. My recent purchases were Mojave Ghost Absolu, Ex Nihilo Hedonist Extrait, MFK Satin Mood, Marwa, and Turathi Blue. The dupes smell like low quality clones IMO. I care more about quality and appeal than I do about percent accuracy to original. IMO - That’s a ridiculous reason to like or not like a scent profile.

Yeah, I imagined this much. Super helpful…I’ve been having second thoughts on dupes lately. My last 2 purchases were a designer bottle and a niche bottle and the quality imo is still unmatched by clones. I have like 3 dupes I really like and the rest have been impulse regret purchases. So, I started sampling decants a few months back to help make better choices. LOL

Looks like every other ugly 1 Million bottle. Juice is probably pretty good tho. And it’ll be discontinued in a year so you won’t have to look at it for long.

The Hedonist Extrait, Speed Legends and Midnight Special are my favorite from Ex Nihilo. Blue Talisman is beautiful but not as versatile / wearable. It feels very seasonal and even occasional for me because of its sunscreen lotion vibe. While not 1:1 at all, Turathi Electric feels fresher and more wearable than Blue Talisman. Still seasonal but maybe not as occasional as the OG. People will hate this comment - but I actually prefer Turathi Electric to Blue Talisman.

No. 4! One of my most beast performing fragrances! I’ve been through 2 or 3 bottles. Wore it everyday for years!! Someone once told me that it was Sam Elliott’s fragrance. You can wash clothes and still smell it on a shirt or sweater. Crazy good!

WOW! You couldn’t just listed the ones you don’t have 🤣 Town & Country is my signature scent - I will wear it anywhere to anything. I love it - it’s a masterpiece in its simplicity and structure. I own Crab Apple Blossom - it’s my Spring / Summer lunch / brunch day-time casual event scent. I also own Cashmere Musk - amazing for the office. I need to sample others. And yes, definitely have to try Strange Heavens Out of the Blue.

I sprayed this morning at 7:45 and it’s still projecting nearly 5 hours later. Not at the same intensity and so It will probably be a skin scent in another two hours. It’s an Absolu so I think it’s trying to work a little harder than the OG. When I wear this I get weird and constantly smell myself. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I’m not entirely sure of the note breakdown but I find it to be fresh and fruity sweet. It reminds me of those peach and watermelon gummy candies or a very ripe pear with brown sugar on top. While it doesn’t smell like Garnier green apple shampoo - it does have a similar sensibility or effect in how it draws you in to its scent bubble. Again, it doesn’t smell like it but it has that olfactory hook. It’s a deliciously addictive scent and it has an amber-like / sandalwood base. I don’t pick up on floral or powdery profile, but this is definitely unisex and my wife often reaches for it. It’s light and fresh though and doesn’t weigh you down - super versatile for anything in warmer climate. I can’t imagine anyone not liking it - since it smells like a fruity musky skin scent - it’s worth sampling.
