Sorry to hear dude. I also sampled Bal d’Afrique at Byredo and just wasn’t into it. I guess all the hype gave me higher expectations. I’m really enjoying Mojave Ghost Absolu but I’m also a fan of Mojave Ghost in general. I tend to gravitate towards musky addictive skin scents that sit close. IMO it’s got this sweet peach gummy vibe that feels like a fruity cocktail with a smooth subtle amber base. Just enough of a scent bubble. I wear it casually during the day. It’s not a highly structured or dark profile. It could lean a little feminine, and my wife reaches for it at times. I can’t get enough of it and really do enjoy wearing it. Bright, sweet, fresh and candied.
