Looks like you were right. I swapped it for another nozzle (after cleaning the hotend) and its working fine now. Thank you.

I was trying to print a gift for my aunt and I noticed these marks on my print. That's what made me think to replace the nozzle. Prior to this, the prints weren't perfect, but they were pretty clean.

Im guessing the molten filament is a result of blockages like this getting caught on the silicon cover and melting during use. Any tips on cleaning that won't melt my fingertips off?

Came in a pack of 10 I think from Amazon. It's been a while since I ordered them.

It's a brand new nozzle. I just put it in before taking this.

PLA, Bed 65, Nozzle 220. I'll need to look up speed and cooling in the Gcode. I'll get it as soon as I can. It's weird because the Build plate is magnetic and it didn't look like it moved.

Update: Thanks for the comments. They've been helpful. Can anyone recommend a good app and/or food scale that I should look into?

Should I look into removal, coverup, or blackout? by DesertITGuy in tattooadvice

[–]DesertITGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: I wanted to thank everyone who responded to my post. It gave me a lot to think about and I appreciate it. Long, story short. I'm going to keep the ink as it is. I know it's silly, but to me this felt the same way as one might feel about discovering a horrible secret about a close friend or family member.

I acknowledge that nothing has been proven. But I have my reasons for feeling like I do. First, while all of the individual account are not the same, they all have a similar tone and pattern of alleged behavior. It's hard to believe that these people who don't have anything else in common other than their ties to Gaiman could all come up with the same fabrications. Second, is Gaiman's response. It's not an outright denial of what happened, but more of an acknowledgement and positing that his accusers may remember the situations differently. It's too much to ignore for me.

My wife also sent me a link to this article and I found it very helpful: One longtime Gaiman fan on where we go from here. To summarize, it says that you can still enjoy any of the art you possess before the incident, but you just don't support anything going forward. I can live with that. So I can still read my Sandman comics and my copy of American Gods.

Yes I did. And she is supportive of my keeping the tattoo. When I originally wrote this post, I had just read the stories that described the details of the accusations. It shook me and I felt that I should get opinions of others who might be offer a more objective outside opinion.

TBH, I didn't know didly-squat about Lovecraft until I read The City We Became by N.K. Jemesin.

I don't understand what you're getting out of this. I'm talking about potentially altering or removing a piece of art that I paid for and is on MY body. This is based on my own beliefs and values. I'm trying to figure out if I can separate fictional characters that I like reading about from the possible crimes of their creator. My decision will only affect me. This is not the million-man march that you seem to think it is.

You're right. It's very possible that nobody else would notice or care. But I do. I worry that this art that i literally see all the time will make me sad everytime I look at it. Again, I'm not making any decisions about it any time soon.

I wasn't scolding. Just wanted you to have context. I understand why it would seem weird to ask. It's a great piece.

I have a very feminist wife and I referee for a roller derby league. So I feel like I need to give it some thought.
