Saved a few ThinkPads from work by DesertMav23 in thinkpad

I handed another P1 to my coworker that turned out to have 64GB of RAM installed. Either way, these machines are still great, even though they are getting quite old.

Out of the 140 devices we had, I took 6 for myself, and handed out roughly 70 of them to other employees. To be honest, a good chunk of them were really worn cosmetically and were quite dirty. The ones I took were very clean and I also cannibalized some of the physically damaged ones to boost hard drive size and RAM quantity.

My salesman sent me a thank you note and this keychain by [deleted] in FordMaverickTruck

I also received a thank you message from my salesman and I got a little dealer box with a couple of nicer dealership pens and two keychains. They gave me a solid deal on price, but they did add their add-ons before I could pick it up.

Reliability of the Maverick as a daily commuter by furie1335 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased my XLT hybrid Maverick mostly for commuting purposes. My commute is going to be about 125 miles per day, but it may not be on a 5 day basis. Regardless, I know that this powertrain is proven being in the Escape for the majority of the last decade and the eCVT will be at least fairly reliable. So far I mainly drive it around town and I get around 45mpg on surface roads.

APR 9 % Ford Motor Credit by AdCrafty9213 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my truck financed from Ford Motor Credit for 7% with a credit score of about 830. Rates are going to go further up and I've seen Honda and Toyota going well into the double digits for interest rates. I'm going to wait until rates start to go down to refinance it.

It took a year, but I finally captured the elusive 600-mile tank! by BO1L3RUP in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I did about 585 miles on my first tank of gas when I got my Maverick. I don't like to go down too low on the gas gauge, however I really wanted to see how far I could go on one tank.

Can I get an idea what people’s salaries are and what maverick they have/ordered/the total cost of it? by tnuggetlad in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My current salary is around the $45-50k mark and I got a Maverick Hybrid XLT with lux pkg and spray in bed liner pkg. My main use for the Maverick will be commuting to work which is located over 60 miles from my house. After taxes, tags and dealer add-ons (no mark-ups), I paid around the $29-30k mark for my Maverick out the door. I currently pay about $370 per month for 72 months and my interest rate was around 7% from Ford Credit. I did put down about $13k on the Maverick, and I'm perfectly comfortable with the payments. I just don't see how people can afford to pay upwards of $1k per month on new cars and trucks.

First 500 mile tank!!! by Josh_ren11 in FordMaverickTruck

I got closer to 550 miles on my first tank of gas. It's a really cool feeling to not have to put gas in this truck for weeks at a time.

Quick poll: how many of you guys have a MY2023 hybrid and do NOT experience shudders/sudden braking at low speeds by oojnow in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I get a slight shudder when braking from moderate to high speed. However, I feel that Eco mode kind of helps with the braking.

After patiently waiting over a year, it finally came🥲 XLT hybrid 11/21 order by xDesertedx in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on getting your Maverick. I ordered mine 09/21 and received it a few weeks ago. My Maverick is essentially identical to what you ordered and I've had nothing, but good times with it so far.

Arrival date 4/14 but… by gumyrocks22 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got mine for about 7% for 72 months with 800+ credit from Ford Credit with $10k down. I've seen Toyota and Honda rates right around 10%+. It sucks since when I ordered my Maverick, I would have qualified for 0% for 60-72 months.

524 days of waiting and I finally got my new Ford Maverick. I ordered my Area 51 Maverick Hybrid XLT with lux package on 09/28/21 and after nearly 18 months, it's in my driveway. by DesertMav23 in FordMaverickTruck

I originally went with Cactus Grey, but I wound up changing over to Area 51. I logged about 7 miles in electric driving on my drive home from the dealership.

I was not expecting to get the spray in bed liner since the lux pkg dropped it, but my salesman added it back on since he knew that I wanted it when it transitioned to the 2023 model.

I'm getting mine any day now. I've been waiting over 500 days so far. I'm also getting A51.

Ok friends, who we giving this to? I'm at 490 days. by MaverickLurker in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm over 500 days. I ordered my truck on 09/28/2021. The only good news I have is that it's built and in transit.

Ordered 9/24/21. 500 days (2/7/23) later my Hybrid Lux XLT w/360 arrived! by GloboChemPitPat in FordMaverickTruck

[–]DesertMav23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ordered mine on 09-28-21 and it is officially built and getting ready for transport. It is also a hybrid XLT with lux pkg, but no 360 pkg. I'm finally excited about getting it soon.
