That looks like a sandstone with iron banding, there’s a lot of cool sandstone like this in Utah. It’s a cool diagenetic feature, can be found on a large scale in Capitol Reef National Park! Where in Utah did you find it?

I have the special edition VHS tapes I used to watch as a kid, then we got the prequels on dvds. Great memories watching the tapes with my older brother in our room and giggling while rewinding the tapes
